Way too young. Lost my dad at 54 to a stroke. I'm 45... ugh.

I wonder if there was some underlying cause of his stroke.

This is an interesting article.
It appears that Luke Perry had other health scares. He had precancerous growths in 2015 which
prompted him to change what he was eating (a lot red meat)

I liked him in the original Buffy the vampire slayer movie ☹️ 52...7 years older than me makes me think whether I need to make some life changes.

Perry has always had an interesting post 90210 life. He seemed far more down-to-earth than some of the others. RIP.

Sad news really. When it was first reported last week, I thought the worst was over. Now it turned out he a massive stroke last Friday and held on until today. Not telling the full tale is kind of weak, imo.

RIP. Loved the Buffy movie role! I'll raise a pint for you tonight!

I must not have had a pulse then.

I never got into 90210. I've just been peripherally aware of what has been going on with some of the cast since. For example, Jason got into auto racing for a time.

Doherty continued to be a prima donna.

Tori Spelling became .... a hot mess?

I went and looked at all the old cast member then and now. My goodness they sure have not aged well.
They all look REALLY sickly.
I'm around people that age all the time so I think I have a good grasp on that age group. They all look
really beat down. Maybe too many drugs in their Hollywood youth?

I was just a little wee lad when that show was in it's prime.

My mom never missed an episode, I probably saw more of Luke Perry than I did of my dad.

I would assume drugs.

Doing lots of coke causes your arteries in your brain to thin. That leads to strokes. That is what happened to Frankie Muniz, living the fast life and trying to be a race car driver, living too fast-BAM! He suffered several mini strokes. Put an end to lifestyle choice real quick!

After a certain age, just don't bother! If you can, don't touch anything synthetic. I worry more about my vitamin C intake than anything else! Makes me boring, but hey, 50 is going fine with no major issues. I want to be around for more trips around the sun! If nothing else, just to see what is new!

Shame, really enjoyed his acting in several roles after 90210. Give me a quick heart attack any day compared to a stroke.
