'Selfs' - 3rd person present tense. Yes, technically it IS a word, and it is a legal word which can be used in the game of Scrabble. AND, it would appear you have used the word correctly in your sentence. So, many kudos for that! However, this is a very uncommon word, and its usage very uncommon in phraseology. (In fact, I'd have to think rather hard for a moment to apply it in a different sentence). I have no formal objection to lodge here, after due consideration, but I felt it important to point this factoid out.

edit - Interestingly, the far more common word, "selves", would not be correct usage in your sentence (which is why I brought this up). Interesting!!
