Aquachigger is probably the best detectorist around on youtube right now. The man knows all the tricks. History channel got him in a new show and it looks really good. Here is the announcement :

I got no clue about the other guy, Rick Edwards.

Ooooh, that looks fascinating! I'd love to see all the things they discover and the age of the artifacts. Wonderful!

Please tell them not to go looking in the Passaic River near the NJ Transit swing bridge in Lyndhurst, there's nothing dumped there.

Family and I just bought a Minelab Equinox 800...We follow Two Toes on you tube, for detecting and panning.

We panned gold on our 1st outing on the Rogue river, yesterday all we seemed to find was pull tabs and lead fishing weights.

Next week, we are heading to the Applegate river for some detecting and panning.

Thanks for the heads up on Aquachigger

Thanks !

Right now I'm planning my second season. Marking new spots on the map and waiting for better weather. Last year I was doing good but got a very serious foot infection, took me months to recover. Believe me, detecting is sometimes dangerous but I just can't stop doing it.

Garret is a well known brand and many detectorists use it but I never used it. Just don't spend more than that in your first machine. You'll feel it when the time to go for a professional level machine arrives.

Hahaha...Man, find him would be better than gold but my chances to have an "tragic accident" will increase.

I couldnt live without my garret pro pointer, those are game changers. Do you not use a pointer in conjunction with your full size sweeper?

most important thing is to read your manual, learn how to ground balance and reduce noice from "trash"...and personally I reccomend a pointer, great companion to a full size detector
