UCPD makes felony arrest in assault caught on video on UC Berkeley campus

Remember that conservative who was assaulted for setting up a table at Berkley?

Well, there has been an arrest made in the case:

Campus police have announced an arrest in the felony assault case involving a man caught on video punching another man on the UC Berkeley campus last week.

The University of California Police Department announced the arrest by email at 2:10 p.m. Friday. Police said UCPD arrested Zachary Greenberg on a warrant involving a Feb. 19 assault on Sproul Plaza. Police said last week that they had identified the suspect in the case but did not release his name until Friday.

It looks like he doesn't have the money to make bond as he is being held until he can be arraigned:

“Today, we have finally learned the identity of the attacker and that the violent man has been arrested. While every America should be afforded their due process, we believe that the video evidence in this case is incontrovertible. We hope 28-year-old Zachary Greenberg is prosecuted to the full extent of the law for assault with a deadly weapon, which should be considered an act of hate. Hopefully, this dark chapter will act as a wake up call to those concerned about actual politically motivated hate crimes in America. Berkeley and all college campuses across American should be safe havens for free thought and opinions - especially for a targeted conservative minority," his statement read.

Greenberg is being held on $30,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

I'm assuming he will be given the keys to Berkeley (symbolically, of course) next year.

A bond is typically 10% of the bail amount, so that would come to around $3000, she'd loose out on a few classes or a couple of textbooks

No, they're not. But, I have a feeling a lot of phone calls were made in the last couple of days to the UCPD as well as the DA's office. The UCPD actually knew who this guy was for a while.

2. Don't know history.. specifically German history.

Let me help you a little here... the beatings continued on the people that didn't think the right way until it didn't work anymore so they killed them.

Keep thinking it's not happening right in front of your eyes now... the German citizens afterwards said the same thing. They were astonished afterwards that they were even a part of it... couldn't understand how it snowballed so quickly.

The Left’s reign of terror on free speech and different political viewpoints isn’t going to go nearly as far as the Nazi’s reign of terror did.
I guarantee it.

At some point someone is gonna get tired of being pushed around and assaulted and push back even harder. You all know what the result will be. "See, the right is racist and dangerous we knew this was going to happen." and away it goes from there. I suppose some of you will say well, this is the whole reason to be non violent. But at what point is it justified to fight back against fascism, people assaulting you? When is it okay? I'm so tired of the rhetoric and double standards.
