To the Youth of our Nation: My Gift to you...

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted anything, but with everything that has been happening politically, socially, economically, technologically, or really most everything 'ally,' I felt I had to put something out there to help you make some sense of this ever crazier world we live in. I will try to keep this short and to the point as I could go on probably for hours. Ok, here is the reality of things:
You are not special. That's right, no amount of money, fame, or 'followers' will ever change that; you are one of BILLIONS of human beings. That being said I want to clarify that you ARE important. You are the future in every single aspect, and without you everything will end.

You may have asked yourself why the corrupt people who 'run' us are seemingly untouchable, and that eventually every champion of will eventually be corrupted by the same influence. Never has the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" ever been more relevant to us as a whole than it is today. Politically it's a circus; it's a dog and pony show to keep you entertained while those that DO control the strings cling to power anyway they can, and they are getting desperate. You see those in power have stayed in power large in part, throughout human history, by controlling information and thought. When their power wanes they start a war; when it waxes they change the system to make easier for them to stay in power. While we are all standing in a circle watching the fight they come from behind and rob us blind. The internet changed all that.

Economically everything is a farce; If you were born in America you are technically property of the federal Reserve; look at your birth certificate, it's right there and YOU are what they use as collateral to print money. The production/work you will produce in your lifetime is what you are worth, and it is a very real number we are all assigned equally. Capitalism is the unequal distribution of wealth while Socialism is the equal distribution of poverty; so really as long as currency exists there is no RIGHT answer. Why are cries of socialism rising? Because we SEE the inequality every day of our lives and we are told to hate the bad people who have been successful and gamed the system to become rich (but NOT wealthy). Only those at the very top are Wealthy, and they are a small number indeed. People make money doing nothing, while those who slave away 20 hrs a day, seven days a week, just barely get by if that. However, it is those people that provide the support for the top and therefore they DESERVE to make more than they are paid right? Socialism won't fix that, it will make the pyramid and rectangular block with a little castle at the top for our "Fearless Leaders." Pick your poison, but with Capitalism you at least have a small shot.

Socially we are sheep. We follow our talking heads, our movie/media/social media stars, our 'Influencers' (The HELL is that!?Get a job!). Basically anyone who has the guts to get up and speak in front of people and not hide behind a keyboard to maintain anonymity and save themselves from real world reactions; people who don't want to be challenged to think differently or maybe learn something new. And yes I am aware I am typing this and you don't really know me, so the irony isn't lost, but I am also doing so expecting responses and looking forward to everyone's opinion, always have. But I digress... You are being fed SO much information, much of which has no validity to it at all, and somehow you are supposed to make sense of it and form an opinion. However, the world has become so politically correct that the only way you won't be attacked for having one is if it falls in a nice, neat category the talking heads have created for you; how convenient! That being said convenience is a synonym for cost/expense, and you have been taught to accept it because its the easy and "socially acceptable" way to be. Bull$hit. If that were the truth America (USA) wouldn't exist. But now more than ever you are bombarded with a social structure that requires you 'fit' in to it. Whether Right or Left, there is no grey anymore, only black and white. I won't get into the issues as that is not the point of this OP, but I'm sure everyone reading this can think of a few. The problem with this is that everyone has a partial, extreme, solution or one that does nothing at all; there is no real progress and we are lessening ourselves as human beings by letting it happen. Stop screaming and do something to benefit your neighbor, your co-worker, someone who matters to you. Stop eating the crap you are fed and stop believing the magic people who stand up and say "I can fix all this for you if you just do what I say." DO SOMETHING YOURSELF, and I don't mean riot or hurt someone else; someone else's loss shouldn't be your gain or else we all lose.

Technologically we are always reaching new heights, and we know twice as much today as we did ten years ago. But technology is a double edged sword, and rather than use it to better ourselves as a whole, we marginalize and control it to benefit a few at the cost of many. Social media is not technology, it's dehumanizing control; it's the metaphorical steak on a string that gets us to run a certain way. No one benefits from it, and whole new medical conditions are being made due to it's use and abuse. It ruins lives, period; not to mention the personal information you freely give away without a thought. I'm not saying don't use social media, but like any drug it needs to be taken in doses.
So at the end of the day here is my gift to you; You CAN do it. You CAN change all this. You ARE the future, and regardless of the past, it is shaped and controlled by YOU. YOU are the GIFT.

PS: You want a real Utopian society to exist, look to Gene Roddenberry, only true Utopian society I've ever seen that could possibly work. No money, everyone has a purpose and everyone is equal.

I agree with most of your statement.

No offense, but paragraphs help... Sorry, it was a little difficult to read...

That said, I think it comes down to personal connection. In this day and age we are naturally disconnected. We pay our bills online, we order things from Amazon, we email, text and use social media. Having a meal with someone is so much more important.

So don't you find it odd that you are ranting on what essentially is a social media forum? With it's cliques, controllers, and advertising.

Love it! I think you and would get along well. I prefer the bar truly, not to drink but to get such a rambling set of opinions on friendly terms. But alas, three children later and this is my best shot.

Most adults know this stuff. You need to tell it to the middle and high schoolers, that's where it makes the difference. Bro we are old a d set. There are no revolutionaries on ats! We are veterans of the existing paradigm, and despite hypocritical calls to the contrary, none of us really want it changed.

Why don't you rent a room at your local park convention center or hotel banquet hall and have teenagers come listen. They are the ones who minds will be blown, and actually in a mental and emotional state to tackle the challenge.
