The Hate Preacher Tommy Robinson has been banned from Facepalm

The BBC is reporting that the far right # stirrer Tommy Robinson has been banned from Facebook for hate speech,

Facebook has taken down anti-Islamic activist Tommy Robinson's official page and Instagram profile for violating its policies on hate speech. The former English Defence League leader was deemed to have been engaged in "organised hate". A number of posts on his page had violated the social network's community standards, Facebook said in a blogpost. It said that it had not taken the decision to remove his page lightly but added he would not be allowed back. "When ideas and opinions cross the line and amount to hate speech that may create an environment of intimidation and exclusion for certain groups in society - in some cases with potentially dangerous offline implications - we take action," Facebook said in a post.

I think they have done us all a big favour. It is not just Islam that has extremism. We have it too and Tommy is a sure nasty example of it. What's good for one is good for the other.

I went on his YouTube page in front of all his minions and told him off a few months back. I called him a comedian and told him all his political aspirations would amount to nought.

Tommy has been a nasty little man spreading all that distrust and hate in a very vulnerable Britain rigt now. He is a thug that would bring civil disturbance to Britain if allowed to carry on with all that garbage.

This is sad on so many levels.

People who cheer this sort of thing will have a rude awakening coming when they are silenced themselves.

Freedom of speech has a purpose and corporate gangs do not serve the greater good.

Facebook is becoming irrelevant in my opinion. Glad I sold my Facebook stock over the summer because they haven't been doing their shareholders any favors with all this invasion of privacy and censorship lately.

I'm no fan of Yaxley-Lennon - let's use his proper name and not his stage name - as many here on ATS can attest to.

Come on....he may be a complete arsehole and he may spout a load of bollocks, but he does make some relevant points, its just they are lost in the avalanche of exaggerations, bull#, bigotry and outright lies.....
BUT, to liken him to Muslim terrorists who have actually supported, funded and carried out acts of terrorism against anyone who has the temerity to disagree with them or have a different faith or belief system is really a stretch too far for my liking.

Or have you or anyone else any evidence and proof that he's funded anti-Islam terrorism or taken part in anti-Muslim terror attacks?

As for the banning of his page; I'm not too sure how I stand on that.....I hate censorship of any kind but I also understand why people should not be allowed to preach their messages of hate and to possibly influence young and impressionable minds.

Censorship of the internet is not a clear cut black and white issue and anyone who thinks so must have an incredibly narrow and blinkered mindset.

He really did completely and utterly expose the BBC and Panoram. It's no wonder the establishment are doubling their efforts to smear him.

Not true, I think it should be allowed and everyone can make their own judgment whether to follow/friend them or not. People can easily just hit the block button. But I get it, people want something to be outraged about anything/everything these days. To those people, I say get away from the computer and go outside to realize society isn't as bad as the MSM want you to believe.

I think it should be allowed. I meant to say that when companies get this big, the trend is usually to go against whatever the majority of people are complaining against.

It's all about image, and if more people are concerned about a company curbing percieved hate speech than promoting free speech; then that's the trend the company will follow.

And it's hard to evoke the same emotional effect when your advocating free speech for Tommy or Alex Jones. Easy to get people riled up against alex Jones. Much harder to get people riled up for someone they aren't fond of in honor of free speech.

Basically the loud easy less intellectual response dictates social media before the rational cool-headed one.

Can you elucidate? Where has he been showing hate, unless it is against intolerant bigoted infiltrating hate of a different, well known, kind? Gangs of predators, places of worship that preach intolerance.

That's the inevitable logic of censorship. First they go for cranks like Robinson and Alex Jones, and people tell themselves that isn't so bad. But then they start to go for others, often regular people, and by then it's too late. The legislation is already in place. They are digging their own graves.

The censorship of "politically incorrect" people is becoming a very dangerous epidemic...a pandemic even.

The rise of the Tech near-monopolies (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Google, Instagram, etc.), the influence of globalist billionaires like George Soros - and the myriad of organizations that he funds to sow division and chaos around the world, the uni-politics of the Western MSM and Academics, and the growing intrusions of state (and corporate) surveillance systems using ubiquitous eavesdropping on all communications - and even the physical movements of people on the street, using facial recognition software connected to AI and Supercomputer systems - should scare the living insides out of everyone.

The people who are cheering on the deplatforming of conservative, or otherwise activist, personalities in North America and Europe today are doing so only because they obviously have not yet caught on to the fact that they themsleves are being watched, monitored, recorded and categorized for future reference/action.
