No. That bill literally guarantees any baby that survives an abortion is considered a person and is given all rights and protections as a US citizen. Any abuse or lack of medical care would be considered criminal negligence.
Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002 - Directs that in determining the meaning of any Act of Congress or of any ruling, regulation, or interpretation of the various U.S. administrative bureaus and agencies, the words "person," "human being," "child," and "individual" shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive (as defined in this Act) at any stage of development.

One of the few things I really agree with liberals on is abortion. It should actually be promoted as the smart thing to do. Most people are too stupid to parent. The ones who aren't are too smart to try.
You know I have always been somewhat centered balanced on this issue, but I am beginning to see what you are saying. Perhaps the simplest resolution to this whole issue is those that feel their parents were stupid for not aborting them, should show them how smart they are by aborting themselves.
Perhaps, then the stupid parents will smarten up and just stop getting pregnant. Within a short time...humanity will cease to exist and the whole world will be better for it.

once it's born, regardless of weather it is a survivor of an abortion or not...
It already is murder to kill it according to the laws on the books!!
those laws have been posted here on this thread,
one prohibits infanticide--- the killing of an infant, which is what a born survivor of an abortion would be.
the other one states that it shares the same rights and protections as any other person which pretty much guarentees it will be given the same life saving care after birth as anyone else.
so if they are murdering survivors of abortion, or leaving them to die alone hidden in a locked closet somewhere in the hospital they are ALREADY BREAKING THE LAW!! not sure just how having another law is gonna help with that one...

Because all is does is empower an already out of control sue-everybody vindictive culture and scapegoat their problems on a doctor that had nothing to do with it. And jesus and phony tears, that too.

Great post, I saw a skit on FOX last week they had 3 people on the show, 2 girls 1 boy. They were all survivors of abortions. And they were all doing good in life. They boy was missing a hand from the failed abortion and still doing good. If you haven't seen it let me know and I will try to post it for you. I've only posted pictures before but I'll figure the video thing out for you if you want to see it. It was a great piece.

That's WAAY over my line personally.
Just one more vote over the last few decades that have disgusted me and wondered wtf?
Does anyone represent the people any more?
If this is as simple as the OP represents it as.
I'd have to see the nuances of what is in the bill.
