I can't remember which, but although 3 conservatives have also jumped ship to the Independent Group, one Labour MP has jumped into bed with the Conservatives! Quite a right royal fiasco going on!

At worst these resignations can only enforce the widespread view that neither May nor Corbyn are fit to lead this country and that we need reform of the party political system.

Trouble is we only vote for the parties ...... Its they who chose their

leader!

I cant think of anyone who would make a good leader, any suggestions?

I think PokerFace in the video above would be a good choice. He would be a great negotiator with other world leaders which we could do with right now with Brexit and all.

I think that Brexit is enormously important.....but it shouldn't define and control everything.
Brexit shouldn't determine domestic policies.
Brexit shouldn't determine social policies.

I've just watched the three Tory MP's who've resigned and all three voiced genuine concerns about major issues.
It seems the Tories are doing their own cleaning of house and anyone who disagrees with the Rees-Mogg section of the party is being marginalised and threatened with deselection.

They are voicing valid concerns about the conduct of our Prime Minister, how she has completely mishandled Brexit and led us to the appalling position we are currently in.

When we eventually leave the EU we need politicians of conviction who are willing to work together and move this country forward in a forward and progressive manner.
All of these politicians are showing such characteristics.

Never been a fan of Galloway.

HOWEVER if you can spare the time then this is a must watch. Galloway had the guts to face The U.S. Senate in an enquiry into The Iraq War.

Galloway tore The Senate apart.

Great. SDP 2.0. Worked out great least time.

Guess we'll have Tory rule until 2030 because these labour MPs would rather suck up to Israel and the EU than, you know, not do those things.

I remember that so I will have to agree with you. He did.

Now, let's resume normal service: Corbyn looks and sounds like Steptoe.

Over to you?

More Will Hay.

They both make the same kind of sense.

True,

Hay often portrayed incompetent authority figures who attempt to conceal their incompetence but whose true traits are gradually exposed. As well as being incompetent, his characters are often immoral

I am agreeing with you again. Quick - nurse - the screens!

This could be even more damaging for May, if she loses anymore am pretty sure she could lose her majority in government even with the DUp support which is so far quite delicate anyway

The alternative is Corbyn sucking up to Hamas and Hezbollah whilst destroying The Good Friday Agreement and helping Adams and his fellow murdering scum try to dismantle the British Union and sell out Northern Ireland.

Once the details surrounding our supposed leaving the EU May will be history. She will have served her purpose and then someone will be inserted in order to promote the interests of those who want to preserve the status quo as much as possible.

That is why events like today are so important and why we must also look to the future and start preparing for post-Brexit.

All of those who have resigned do seem to have a sense of personal conviction.
They all also appear to have at least some semblance of a social conscience - I may disagree on how that should manifest itself but its certainly a damn sight better than the complete absence of one shown by Rees-Mogg, Boris etc.

There is growing agreement that our current system is broken and no longer fit for purpose, these resignations could be the start of rebuilding and reshaping that system post-Brexit.

In the unlikely event that they let him back in, that will be the last straw for a lot of people, who will effectively give up on Corbyn's Labour Party. It won't be worth saving.

Anybody seen this yet?

Derek Hatton, the controversial former deputy leader of Liverpool council, has been suspended from the Labour party just two days after being allowed back in after 34 years.

The 71-year-old has been suspended pending an investigation into a tweet he posted in 2012 blaming Jews for Israeli government policy.

The tweet, which resurfaced after he was readmitted to the party on Monday, said: “Jewish people with any sense of humanity need to start speaking out publicly against the ruthless murdering being carried out by Israel!”

Wonder if thats a record !!

Most people with half a brain know that what used to be called the "loony left", or "militant", was stocked to the rafters with anti-Semitism. It's in their blood. A product of the old Soviet Jew hatred. Corbyn is recreating militant labour, and of course he was one of them. Just quiet.

Back in the mid 1980's Neil Kinnock started to root out twats like Hatton. The 1986 Kinnock speech to the Labour conference is always worth a gander... Give Kinnock credit for doing some good.

He's also got form as an anti-Semite, so will be right at home back in Labour! If Corbyn really wants to sort out Labour's woes then he needs to keep Galloway and his ilk far away from Labour!

Seems that Derek Hatton's Labour Party membership has been suspended after 2 days. Something to do with a Tweet about Israel, apparently:

I hate Derek Hatton, tell you a story or two about him.

One of his cronies had a painting behind his desk, a painting that had formerly been in the museum and had been given to the people of Liverpool by the artist that had painted it, it was a painting of liverpool during the German bombing of the city with the red sky reflecting the fires below.

It and quite a few other item's that belonged to the people of liverpool mysteriously vanished when Hatton was in charge of the council there.

It is also known also that Hatton had a LOT and I mean a LOT of money stashed in a Swiss bank account, I shall not give my source but it was someone whom knows the man personally.

My mother Lady Alice Hallworth-Fegan (this was her maiden name and she reverted to it later married twice, Leslie 1951 to DV1959 and McArdle 1960 to DV1969) was told by Hatton "Sorry we just took your land and built houses on it" when my mother was trying to find out about an inheritance she had been left - and robbed of, he also told her back in the 70's as he knew a friend of my mother back then and I believe this was intimidation by him that there were two men out to get her and she was going to be murdered and buried under the motorway they were then building to Liverpool from Manchester (My mum in her innocence believed - Wrongly in my opinion - that he was just trying to warn her and indeed she did have people trying to force her off the road in her little blue motability mini - she was disabled - several times during the late 70's through to the early 90's, even had her brake cables cut when she later had a small Citroen and was investigating and going around trying to find out about her trust which had been concealed from her - she was technically an aristocrat but robbed of her entire inheritance by a bunch of crook's - she was the real owner of Aintree property's and one of those involved a half nepphew called Peter McGrath her half sister Isabella's son is living in one of her houses and has been for decades rent free on ince road in thornton formby liverpool and playing the big lick's there even though he has no right as the money came form my mothers FATHERS family and relatives and was left to my MOTHER not my nan's first husband's kid's so legally they have no claim and never did have).

Cut a long story short he is involved in the fraud against my mother along with Rex Makin (now deceased notorious criminal solicitor whom went by the nick name of Sexy Rexy because he was an ugly twisted and evil man) and Bill Davies (Atlantic Holding's - another crook and gangster whom stylized himself as a property developer - was deeply involved in the fraud against my mother and even tore down the original Tattersall stand at Aintree Racecourse after stealing document's from the safe it the building which we found later belonged to my mother - another long story but it was called the Cheetah Fraud and was closed down due to the high level of corruption and highly placed people still in positions of power at the time of the now defunct investigation including corrupt police.
Let's just say there was a click of gangster in Liverpool, call them the Liverpool Mafia if you like and they included Davies, Derek Hatton, Rex Makin and a few other people, they had link's to corrupt highly placed people in position's of power and used blackmail, intimidation and even gangland thug's to get were they got and keep what they had stolen.

IF there was ever a reason for me to turn against the Honest Labour party it when it allows scum like that back into it.
The only reason they have used the antisemitism against this scum bag though is because there are still quite a few decent Labour party members whom know what this little sack of putrescence known as Derek Hatton really is.

So recap as I rambled a bit there.

Hatton is a Gangster, his pretension's into politics were about filling his pocket and he not only would but has robbed the eye out of people's head's and then went back for the socket.
He is a thief, liar, fraudster, thug with ties to the underworld and also to corruption in politics (hated being expelled because it put his nose out of the trough) and all round scum - not really Labour material but rather just a thug that thought he could use the party for his own vested interests and indeed did so, for a long time after he was ousted there were many in Liverpool that wanted to give him a bloody good hiding and God know's he deserves it.

Sadly there have been a few like that in Labour over the years but then the Tory's have there bullingdon boy's and they are actually absolutely no better whatsoever.
