My dog has red dots on him...

I need a little help on this one guys, My girlfriends dog recently just all of a sudden got alot of spots near his genital area. He is a weiner dog and she said that the spots look like they have little scabs on the very top of them.. Could this be because of ants, or anything like that ?

Could it be an allergy?

Is the dog outside a lot?

Yes my dog had this too,

I took mine to the vet and they said it was an alergic reaction to flea's.
So best bet is to keep he as flee less as possible and also any other animals in the house,

Also could be a mite, found in the grass outside,

Just keep an eye on it for now and if it gets worse then see a vet, but as long as its not to bad then it should just clear up its self.

try putting a little baby cream on the dog to help ease the itch,
