In relation to the other threads currently going I am curious as to how advanced we as a civilization are? What does it take to be considered an advanced culture or civilization.

Is advanced being able to blow the world apart 10 times over? Or creating machines which toxify our environment? Would you consider daming the lands rivers or clearing its forests a sign of advancement? Maybe blowing holes in the atmosphere or producing radioactive chemicals which will last tens of thousands of years is the proof needed.

Weve only been like this for a few years now. A very small blip in the record of modern mankind. Already weve emptied the seas of something like 80% of the large fish. Weve dumped untold amounts of trash and chemicals and who knows what into the sea. There are plenty of other environmental issues to bring up yet.

I hear many times that with modern medicine weve extended the life expectency for people. I say nonsense. Life expectancy for Europeans and their descendants increased as they began bathing regularly and not dumping their refuse just outside the window. We can see in many countries which are less industrialized that people who eat proper and are active live to the same ages and sometimes longer than the industrialized nations.

How long can we keep going like this before we are forced back to the only level of technology this planet can sustain? That being stone age technology.

Is 'advanced' being able to live in balance with the environment or using it for what you can and dealing with the consequences if youre still around?

I am convinced we are only a stones throw away from the stone age.

We are still such very basic and primal creatures. Although we have Communication and Transportation technologies, we spend must of
our resources on Weapons.

Although we have more time and machines to make live more
enjoyable there is more suffering on the earth then there ever
was before.

We are blinded by the light, the neon ones, the one you are looking
at right now just to read my words. We are blinded from the truth.
The truth is we are still very very simply creatures that have not
developed much at all in 2000 years.

While we think we have advanced, in truth, many of us have regressed.

Three words:

Above Top Secret.

Well its true! Any civilisation being able to reflect on its own civilisation in a forum that knows no nation borders should be considered an advanced civilisation

Well advanced in our cultures..........yes.
Advanced in Civilization..........no.

When we can break the laws of physics and travel the speed of light, and visit other worlds and learn from other civilizations......then just maybe we could consider ourselves an advanced civilization. HOwever from what i have heard in the world of Astronomy,........our solar system and sun is quite young compared to many other systems. Somthing like 75% of the other systems they have found are billions of years older than ours. This means if there is life out there, ....then most likely they are more advanced than us.

Most of us are still savage barbarians; Intellectual Animals.

The majority of us humanoids here on Earth are far from Being highly evolved Beings.

How many have escaped the Tritocosmos and have Mastered the Microcosmos, let alone the other FIVE Cosmos?

How many are still stuck in Samsara(The painful Cycle of Evolution and Devolution)?

Evolution, Involution and Revolution

Intro 01: The Ray of Creation

The lowest types of inhabitants are those that dwell in the lowest and most complicated level of creation, the Tritocosmos. This is the Inferno of Dante, hell. Here, demons dwell. These levels are submerged within the crust of the earth (in the interior dimensions), but humanity has psychologically sunk down into these levels and are obviously brining the worlds of 96 laws, 182 laws etc to the surface. Demons also dwell in the physical plane; any creature with ego is a demon.

The physical Plane (Malkuth and Yesod): four types of inhabitants: minerals, plants, animals and humanoids.

Currently, we are only inhabitants of the physical world.

As we work with the three factors, (Alchemical Birth, Mystical Death and Sacrifice for Humanity) we walk the path of initiation. We may complete the Minor Mysteries, but not enter into the Major Mysteries until we reach psychological equilibrium and begin working in Alchemy.

When we work in Alchemy the Holy Spirit descends (white dove) into us and raises the Serpents of Fire of Kundalini through each of our bodies, (physical, vital, astral, mental and causal). The serpents of Atman and Buddi never fell. The serpent rises slowly through each of the 33 vertebrae of our spine (33 degrees of Occult Masonry), in accordance with the merits of our heart. This is represented by the 33 years of the life of Jesus. (Any Buddha with 5 or 7 serpents raised up over its head which represents this process.)

THIS...:

...is a representation of a highly evolved Being.....

It's all comparitive. What are you comparing us to? It's an un-answered question. Saying "how advanced are we?" and having nothing to compare us to is like taking an object in a gigantic room of pure blankness, and saying "How big is this?" If you want to compare us to any other "catologued" being, we're the most advanced creatures that exist! Also, advancement is advancement whether it's "good" or "evil".

So let me get this straight: All you have to do to be a "highly evolved being" is to make up your own religion?

NEAT!!! I'm halfway there!!!

I believe we are nowhere near our potential in terms of being advanced right now. I feel we are about 50 years behind in terms of thinking and technology. Just for example, without electricity, we would be in the stone ages period. I think that if we come up or discover infinite free energy, then we would see a different world right now.

we will never reach any kind of potential until we can rid the world of the borders and countries and just agree to be Earthlings instead of Americans or Britons. However, in order to do that, the world would need to form one government and right now we are not ready to do that. Too many people in high positions crave power, unfortunately, and until that ceases to exist, we will NEVER be a truly free/advanced civilization.

What do Gnosis, Christic-Buddhism, Kabbalah and Tantra/Alchemy have to do with "making up your own religion"???

First of all, we will never know exactly how advanced we are anymore. I am sure the Roman Empire had secrets like how to direct light with mirrors and stuff like this that may have trick thousands into believing that they were or that there were gods. But now we have all this technology and finally not everyone is so damned gullable. But, yet we have figured out how to put waves of sound in our head. Has anyone ever felt themselves singing or humming a song and you can't get it out of your head. I wonder if these shows have any relativity to why we are so guillable.

Eh... Dude, I think you need to study [conventional] history. You'd be AMAZED at how many periods and years we've gone through since the stone ages, all without electricity.

Well considering in a fraction of the lifes earth span we've managed to introduce globalization and interconnect all the land masses I think we're doing pretty good. Also if you tackle this question using science and technology, well then we're pretty damn smart and getting smarter each day. Without war, well then we wouldn't have leaped this far.. well not right away atleast.

Materialistic "progress" without internal progress, is not progress.

It is degeneration.

Humanoids, despite all our intellect; are more degenerate than ever.

The Antichrist

Excerpts:

Dazzling intellectualism, as the manifested functionalism of the psychological "I," is without a doubt the Antichrist...

...Intellect which is placed in the service of the Spirit is useful; intellect which is divorced from the Spirit becomes useless.

Villains arise from intellectualism without spirituality: a vivid manifestation of the Antichrist. Obviously, the villain, in and for itself, is the Antichrist.

Unfortunately, the world today with all its tragedies and miseries is governed by the Antichrist. The state of chaos in which modern humanity finds itself is undoubtedly due to the Antichrist...

...It argues in cafes, negotiates at the United Nations, sits comfortably in Geneva, conducts experiments in laboratories, invents atomic bombs, remote-controlled missiles, asphyxiating gases, bacteriological bombs, etc., etc., etc...

... Everyone bows before the Antichrist. Obviously, it has invented ultrasonic aircraft, wonderful ships, splendid cars, amazing medicines, etc. Under such conditions, who can doubt the Antichrist?

In this day and age, anyone who dares to speak against all the miracles and wonders of the Son of Perdition condemns himself to everyone's ridicule, sarcasm and irony; he condemns himself to be classified as stupid and ignorant.

It is hard to make serious and studious people understand the former statements. They in and on themselves react and offer resistance...

So it is self evident that we are not very smart at all in these times and days...

Who in their right mind considers self-destruction "smart"???

If we manage to keep from destroying ourselves for another hundred years, I am sure none of us would recognize the world that will emerge. Contrast that with the rest of human history where someone from 3000 bc could readilly adapt to living in 1000 ad with the only changes being better metal for their tools and a different god.

So, tell me where we would be now, in terms of advancement without electricity? I merely stated that electricity was just an example. Without electrical power, we would still be using candles now. And I know we would not be as advanced.

i have heard that there are beings some where in the galaxy way farther advanced than we will ever be like aliens they are more advanced than we are (though aliens probably don't exist) and some people also say that the u.s. government is fifty years ahead of us

Of course we wouldnt be as advanced as we are now (unless we figured out that Atlantis style "crystal power"
). But we would certainly NOT be on a stone age level. More like around renaissance. Is that advanced? I dont know. Gunpowder, medicins, complex mechanical constructions, democracy (and despotism, heh), sophisticated arts and litterature, steam engines, million people cities, etc and so on. We've done things that we still today are stunned by. Think it is a coincidence there are things called "wonders of the world"?

So we would maybe not be as advanced compared to now. But hell no is it the stone ages, its simply no comparison as you put it.

The earth knows that we are stupid and will eventually kill each other off ... Just like we have been doing for the last 300 gazillion years ... The way that we evolved is not through WAR ... Whoever says this is rediculous stupid. We learned what we have from years of research not years of war. Although ... we probably have used all the techonology that we have in war ... or if anyway we could use the internet to give us the upper hand ... Or wht not.
