There's probably about a 10% overlap on our politics but I'm incredibly happy to hear that you're running. From a former candidate to a current candidate, let me know if I can lend you any advice.

I am not sure if to congratulate you or to pity you. You are literally entering the den filled with many wolves. I would not wish that upon myself.

Regardless I wish you luck on your journey. But I do hope you know what you are getting yourself into.

Good on ya, gambler. I've been part of a successful congressional special election campaign. You are correct, it is entirely time consuming. Make sure you surround yourself with dedicated individuals with nearly supernatural work ethic. The campaign, and service to our nation creates a pace of life that is like nothing we had ever seen before. Absolutely bonkers how fast everyone and everything moves in Washington. Total eye opener but our family wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Gut wrenching at times, but a complete and total honor to have been through the process. Not gonna lie, the financial burden of a campaign can be overwhelming, and thats where the difficulty can kick in. Stand strong and steadfast in your beliefs and inform your voters. Confidence goes a long way. When ya see a crack in the door, bust it wide open. Best of luck, dude...

Expose those members of congress that have used the Congressional Hush Fund to silence sexual abuse allegations towards members of congress.

ETA: OH, and most importantly, you don't want other peoples money, especially from corporate interests.

Unfortunately have to agree...far too many rules are in play as well, when one tries to do organized help for others the lights really come on about regulation and following "the program".

Go for it for sure..and document all the ridiculous blockades you encounter along the way...perhaps you can make headway Grambler...we shall see!

My first suggestion is to convince a qualified, volunteering editor to fix your questionnaire responses, written speeches, letters to newspapers, etc. before they are sent. With all due respect, that is clearly not your strong suit Honestly I would never vote for any Congressional candidate who publicly submitted anything with as many grammar and spelling errors as this. I'm just being honest.

I had no idea! As a long time member of ATS, i can say without a doubt, when you speak up, everyone listens.. you write posts that make me think, and not only do they make me think, they're also incredibly well thought out and logical. I'm happy to hear a person like you is trying to get into politics.. I can only hope we get that in EVERY district over the coming elections..

Got arrested at a concert. Sceond officer told me to fight it, came to speak on my behalf to the judge and all charges were dropped.

I included this on my questionnaire. I am trying to be a straightforward as possible.
