this site is the one with the police reports, investigation notes, pictures everything

its great to spend hours reading over it with a coffee on a saturday with the fire on
and the dogs at my feet.

Hahaha

Dyatlov pass

here is the image of the apparent yeti , but i think its just a man returning from taking a piss

Thibeaux

Its frame 17 .

If you look at the autopsy reports it goes into detail about the radiation contamination and the dosage
bear in mind the body that was dosed with radiation was found lying face down in a stream of running water.
The water acts as a flush and removes radiation quicker than if it wasnt in water.
The body was found after 14 days or something and still had higher than normal background radiation
levels and was found to be dosed with high levels , even after 14 days in running water.

Oh there are missing images from the film rolls !
its in the police reports , I cant remember where exactly

the good thing is , they are the original police reports written in Russian , so at least you can tell they arent digital and therefore subject to tampering.

Why such a violent end for this one and not all the others?

Well if a Yeti ripped her tongue out it was probably because she was screaming hysterically.

Compared to your average Bigfoot sighting, where the hands hang down around the knees, the Dyatlov "Yeti" photo seems to show a bulky creature with short arms.

Great post and don't know about a connection with Dyatlov but there's a pretty interesting interview here with Joshua Cutchin - some Missing 411profile points also include association with boulder fields, berry bushes, weather change and shoe stealing.

May have been solved finally.
Slab Avalanche because of the way they cut into a snowbank to protect the tents from the wind.

There were a couple of great threads on Dyatlov Pass an of course I read them so when I came across the slab avalanche info I was all WHOO-HOOO! But the first article came from The Daily Fail. Had to find a better source.

RT can be a decent place for heads up on stuff.
Some I have to backtrack further but usually that's just for my own peace of mind.

So cool we were on the same wavelength today!!!

It's all totally awesome and a wonderful case study, The avalanche thing is a possibility for sure while at the same time I'm still a little perplexed by the reports of amber orange type ufo orbs which might tie in with Bigfoots or even motherships in the region. Also the victims being found in certain states. It a great case study and something still being honest and realistic an open case

True
Ororten means Wind Mountain or Windy Peak. This fits the last journal entry of the group that said the winds kept increasing as they progressed on their trip.
I am still confused by the location of the camp, though. Dyatlov, the leader, was supposedly a very experienced and capable mountaineer. The site they pitched the tent is about the worst place possible in the weather conditions they had. 100 meters or so in several directions were better camp sites.
And why were almost all members either students of electrical engineering or radiochemistry? Suspicions it was not really a hiking club trip, but a scientific expedition?

One book I read suggested the red lights may be quite explainable.
The USSR was flight developing their latest MiG jet at that time, and one of their preferred training routes was right up the spine of the Ural Mountains. The author was unable to find any records relating to the scheduling of test flights, but it is possible the 'red orbs' were merely a MiG test flight.
Or the MiG crashed near them, and they fled in panic. The military would have quickly covered up the crash, with all the paranoid secrecy during the Cold War.

"" missing its tongue and eyes.""

soft tissues are the first to be eaten by hungry animals
dont know how strong a bear is but ive watched a raccoon runt
drag a 30lb catfood bag across my porch, it only got stuck in doorway.

and a BABY raccoon use 1 hand and nearly pulled me down..

they weigh up to 40 lbs and using their arms and 1 inch claws
to pull themselves up a tree like a squirrel and hang there for hours

so i cant imagine a bear weighing 10x + more dragging bodys around...
their claws RIP the tree and the bark apart
plus russia has some of the best places for nearly extinct animals
to hide from hungry, or rich hunters, and tons of old growth forest
and unknown species, wild dogs, wolfs, lynx, and other carnivoirs

i got some raccoons on here somewhere

Interesting stuff Dave for sure and it's certainly a possibility that the Migs being tested were a cause of the 'red orbs' sighting. Being honest and realistic about it I only read one book on the subject and that must be a decade or so ago and can't remember much about it apart from the fact it freaked me out enough to put me off camping again. As crazy as it sounds those orbs can take on different shapes, they are capable of morphing into something other than their initial appearance. As so many bigfoot sightings are accompanied by amber orange type ufo orbs I believe they are both the same thing orb morphing into the BF, or at least the orb is (on our planetary surface) a condensed mothership carrying the bigfoot, yet I lean towards the former and that comes from a personal CE with a pair of amber orange types. Indeed I see no reason the orbs couldn't morph into a Mig if they so chose.

Also consider the temperature noted in the final journal entry was -30c. It would have been colder higher up. The Blinov party, approximately 50km south (and the ones that reported the 'red orbs') recorded -50c that night. When air gets that cold, the increased density does strange things with light passing through -- refractions and lens effects. Combined with erratic wind eddies and shear from the high winds, any eyewitness accounts must be suspect.
During the search (night of Feb 26, IIRC) the searchers reported '"streaking lights with a tail, that turned red and crescent shaped before disappearing". That sounds like a meteor bolide to me, but there are no other records of a meteor during that time. In 1959 that was a very lightly populated area, so no authenticated records of a meteor would not be surprising.
OTOH, several military officers and party officials insisted on participation in the search, even taking seats on aircraft flights and bumping experienced aerial observers. One could get the impression they were trying to hinder and slow-walk the search while pretending to push it.
