Unpaid air traffic controllers are waiting tables and driving for Uber in the time left over from their 10-hour shifts tracking the position and speed of aircraft to prevent collisions. These are the federal employees who each day see to the safety of millions of airborne passengers. And they are nearing a breaking point amid the longest government shutdown in history, according to the head of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, Paul Rinaldi, whose union is suing the Trump administration for freezing the earnings of members, who are preparing to miss a second paycheck on Friday. "This is adding risk into the system,” Rinaldi said in an interview with The Washington Post. “I don’t know when a system gets to that critical mass, but when you take away equipment that helps us see that a plane is on the appropriate runway, that’s risk in the system. When some of our radars are down, and we’re not able to tell the pilot that there’s dangerous weather ahead until we get a pilot report of it, that’s risk in the system.”

As people realize the facts things won't go well for Nancy. Republicans have twice tried to put forward a bill to pay government employees during the shut down. Democrats are blocking it because they want people to suffer. That way they can blame the evil Republicans.

Problem is with just a little bit of research you can see whats really going on this is all about trying to not to give Trump any victories. Democrats are playing a dangerous game and risk destroying their party come 2020.

I’m glad that you finally admit that it is your team that is useing the workers back wages to bargain the deal. The R’s want to pay them and to negotiate the rest. But Nancy has once again left the building. So sad.

The Congress has passed bills bringing the government back its that Trump won't sign the bill and McConnell won’t bring a bill that would pass to a vote because he says Trump will veto it.

You were lied to not one bill has been sent to Trump. You must watch CNN for your news huh? Republicans twice tried to get workers paid during the shut down and 213 Democrats voted against it. There's no other way to look at it but they don't want them paid. So you have to ask yourself why?

Well if they are paid they lose the press being able to say these workers are suffering. So it must be to their advantage that 800000 federal employees cant pay their Bill's.

If they really cared about the workers they would have agreed to pay them during the shut down.

Can't pay their bills while being forced to work without pay

Some have to make a choice between cancer treatment or paying the rent!

National Guardsmen are starving and going to food pantries.


They have children to feed and cloth

And worst the national airline's are almost in a state of a shutdown and have already reached a breaking point.

Thos people are working FOR NOTHING

TSA workers who have shown up for duty during the government shutdown are not being paid. The agents are getting steady offers of free food and other services by service providers, local politicians and the general public.
