Your democrat talking point does nothing to solve the problem just like Nancy does nothing to solve the problem. The Republicans asked and voted for at least paying those workers during the shutdown. The D’s voted it down. Now who doesn’t care about the workers? I’ll give you a hit, the name begins with an N and ends with y.
Unpaid air traffic controllers are waiting tables and driving for Uber in the time left over from their 10-hour shifts tracking the position and speed of aircraft to prevent collisions. These are the federal employees who each day see to the safety of millions of airborne passengers. And they are nearing a breaking point amid the longest government shutdown in history, according to the head of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, Paul Rinaldi, whose union is suing the Trump administration for freezing the earnings of members, who are preparing to miss a second paycheck on Friday. "This is adding risk into the system,” Rinaldi said in an interview with The Washington Post. “I don’t know when a system gets to that critical mass, but when you take away equipment that helps us see that a plane is on the appropriate runway, that’s risk in the system. When some of our radars are down, and we’re not able to tell the pilot that there’s dangerous weather ahead until we get a pilot report of it, that’s risk in the system.”

The democrats are the ones fighting for a larger issue and that is you DON’T accept blackmail or hostage taking.
What happens when Trump, this ignorant heartless, inhumane barbarian does this again, and again, and again? Where does it stop? If you don’t have the vote’s you cant abuse your power and shutdown the government and be rewarded.
Government by hostage and blackmail cannot be

Weird, I mean in the OP you clearly state:
All we can do is pray no one gets hurt in Trump's savage and inhumane shutdown
Guess the purpose of the thread is...muddled.

That’s not true you’re listening to lies
The Congress has passed bills bringing the government back its that Trump won't sign the bill and McConnell won’t bring a bill that would pass to a vote because he says Trump will veto it.
TSA workers who have shown up for duty during the government shutdown are not being paid. The agents are getting steady offers of free food and other services by service providers, local politicians and the general public.
