TRUMP BLINKS?

President Trump announced on Twitter late Wednesday that he will deliver a "great" State of the Union address after the partial government shutdown is over, ending a tense day in Washington where Republicans criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for blocking the president from giving the speech.

IMO: This is a psychological move, to drum up sympathy for him, and additional ire from the country against Nasty-Nancy Pelosi.

Maybe Nancy Pelosi will now feel like she's won something, and support wall/barrier funding.

Unlike Nasty Nancy, President Trump puts safety of Americans ahead of petty ego spats.

Seems more like a win for Nancy. She says No and he doesn't.

I guess Trump needs the proper attention.

I am a bit disappointed.

A lot of advance logistical and security preparation is needed. That is only 6 days from now.

That's what I'm thinking. We'll see if Pelosi can swallow her pride as well. Her resistance to physical border barriers certainly wasn't based on any principal she holds dear. She voted for the barriers that are there.

Nancy Pelosi already made history today by being the first Speaker of the House to tell the President of the United States that he can't Deliver the State of the Union Address in the U.S. House.

That's possible. Maybe 7 Democratic Senators have decided to support the government funding bill that includes physical barrier funds. The Senate is voting on that bill at 2:30pm ET tomorrow (Thursday).

McCarthy submitted that resolution 10 hours ago, according to his Twitter page. I think President Trump made the decision tonight to delay the SOTU, for some specific reason.
