Seems Pelosi wants to break with long standing tradition and cancel the state of the union address, because she's so deep into hating President Trump , that she can't see how this hurts our country and drives a wedge of disunity into the heart of our country.

Ms PeeLousey is taking a calculated risk... by not 'inviting' POTUS to address both Houses of Congress & the Judicial Branch to hear an Address of the State-of-the-Union... She is attempting to diminish Trump as a non-Presidential material and Deserving of Impeachment & not entitled to give a SOTU address to the Nation...

In Response I Ask:

Who Made Her the Judge-&-Jury to execute this Outrage against the voting Public ?? Impeach PeeLousey as the Speaker & 3rd-in-line to any Vacated POTUS position... the Blowback against her will be almost Universal ! (except for her Loyal Zealots)

Trump should respond with a dignified, SOTU address to the populace only, from a place like the Lincoln Memorial on Live coverage TV....

let the Swine in the democrat House enjoy their 'Slop' & muddy Sty by Themselves---

We-the-People must carry on the Democratic Republic & not let the silly noise interfere

DJT is sure pushing her buttons, well that explains why He was so vigorous in supporting her to regain the Speaker position... He enjoys poking the 'Tard with his stick

It’s a terrifying thought, but that drunk old bitch Pelosi is 2nd in line to the presidency as Speaker of the House.

By tradition, the President is asked to ask permission of the speaker to stand before the joint Houses of Congress. I don't believe it's a requirement that the President do so.

The Speaker is the highest ranking legislator, so it makes sense that that tradition should be around. But it's not required of him--I think.

I don’t understand why he can’t just give the speech from the Whitehouse.

Because it's not a "speach".

It's a Constitutional requirement that the President of the US brief the Congress and the Senate on the State of the Union.

or she's just that childish and petty

While she may be a scared of the President giving his message to the people and making her and the obstructionist Democrats look bad; I truly believe the correct answer is she is just that childish and petty.

Probably because he will call them out for demonizing him as a guy who doesnt care about those not getting paid and lambasting him on the media, and doing news spots, meanwhile all but 6 democrats voted AGAINST funding those workers during the shutdown when they brought it forward this week.......

Surely makes them look like damn lying liars that lie........

Pelosi was in Hawaii during the first 7 days of the government shutdown. Upon returning, she sent President Trump an official letter, requesting that he deliver to Congress to State of The Union address, on January 29th.

On January 12th, she sent President Trump a letter asking that he delay the State of the Union address until the government fully reopened. She also feared for the President's security. (I know.. I know...)

He can fulfil that obligation in writing. The state of the union address can be delivered anywhere.

From the Senate, the white house, a public rally with 10s of thousands in attendance, from the deck of a US aircraft carrier surrounded by military personnel. At a Catholic school auditorium for a crowd of students wearing MAGA hats.... etc

He has many choices.

I wonder if Nancy's reluctance to let the SOTU take place has anything to do with RBG?

How would it look to have her seat empty during the address?

They better get used to it.

I don't think RBG will ever be filling it again.

I doubt it. It's a well known fact, or at least it's implied, that her health is failing, perhaps rapidly IDK.

No, I think the fear is that he is going to take the House to task for what's going on in Washington. Then he'll tell the nation, what he wants to do. What she, and the rest of the House democratic leadership, is afraid of is the public will believe him and not them...and start putting pressure on them to send the right sort of bill to the Senate, who will then send it to the President for either signature, or veto.

What would be even better is that the man is Q.

That would be some drops there.

But doesn't this imply that he actually is the right man for the job?

As such why would she do this? I mean, unless she didn't actually want the right man for the job.

Bhahaah called Schumer a puppet for Pelosi..........thats amazing......

I really really rallied hard against this guy during the election, but I have to say , it is damn nice to hear him calling things out like they are........

It also seems to me that the press , at least most of them have gotten the point when he says "Thank you very much" he means it, and its time to part ways.....

Took em a while to figure that out, what with all the pandering presidents weve had......

Probably because the next step would then be for the media to be cajoled into not broadcasting the address. If he's speaking before a massing of Senators and Congressmen, it would be significantly more difficult and damaging for the MSM to not televise his address to the American people.

It was just on the news, a series of elaborate tunnels, were found crossing the border. There will only be more built ,with a wall.

There is no reason the government should not be open. Using jobs as a bargaining chip, is not the right way to go about this.

Millions are suffering, because of trump. Congress and the Senate, have not funded the wall, it is not the in the nation's best interest to keep this up!

Honestly he says a lot of what he's already said before. He talks about the wall and border, strong economy and the illegal immigration problem but that we need immigrants because of the strong economy. He condemns the action Pelosi has taken and in addition to calling Pelosi's actions "radical" and the that the left has been "radicalized." Which I agree, this has never been done before and without a good reason, and has been shown lying. He also adds that he will be talking to everyone on what the idea they had to do this speech elsewhere in a few days. I only watched it once and amidst the noise here and that's what I got from it. Hope that helps!
