To a great many people today, Science is their religion.
To some, polls and internet are their religion. Facebook, Twitter. Instagram.

What about "New Age" religion? Was that included in this study? Along with worshipping science, I think equal amounts of people are into New Age/Oneness stuff.

Which religions were included? Do you have a link?

You have to read it all, and it’s quite lengthy and detailed.

Islamic religion is an offshoot of Christianity...did the other offshoots go awry?

NO it is not. I have been told that Jesus is a lower prophet than Mohammed was and he will work for the Prophet on "Judgement Day". An offshoot of Abraham's religion.

I don't consider Jesus lower than any other being - and Mohammad was a human being. Judgement day may be you judging yourself and accepting the outcome.

Wrong! Islam and Judaism both spring from the story of Abraham- long before the supposed birth of Christ- thus having nothing to do with Christianity other than Muslims do believe that Jesus was a lesser prophet and nothing more.

Judaism comes from the story of Isaac and his almost sacrifice at the hands of his father and him being the chosen of God while Islam springs from those who believe Abraham's elder son Ishmael (born of Sarah's servant) was the one nearly sacrificed and was chosen of God... and the two sides have been fighting ever since.

Edit to add: Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism.

Thinking about it in terms of ultimate authority, the Atheists (I capitalize it purposely--you figure out why) have substituted the state for God. It's a form of statist cultism writhing in self-loathing of the individual as a concept, psychologically akin to whacked out Christians whipping themselves as penance for sins never committed.

I called it years ago that religion will be replaced briefly by polaraized politics. And its battleground will be the internet... it's starting to happen right now.

I thought globalists multicultural identity politics WAS the new religion.

That is definitely what the Government wants. You are spot on.

The government (lower case - significant) is oblivious.

I think what is happening is that Islam isn't in decay like Western religions. For some reason, it is growing. Okay, I haven't said much of importance.

Islam doesn’t have the corrupt MSM attacking them like Christianity.

Perhaps they protect their women more...yes, in ways that we may think are oppressive, but I was brought up the same way by my dad, a Roman Catholic. That man was relentless in protecting his daughter's honour. And he was not Muslim.

Supposedly it has more to do with Zoroastrianism, tid bits of Hindu, an Christianity, the O.t mainly, with Arabic tones. Like the Djinn, original being polytheistic Gods in that region are now revered as demons. Similar to the God Baal being lowered to the Lord of flys...or #.

Ironically Islam is the fastest growing it also has the highest turn over supposedly.

Probably in Western civilizations religion is being weeded out in favor of statism.

After all, you can't make your Hegelian Utopia with any kind of spiritualism... you need the faith of the people to instead be invested in the State.

Don't go to God with your problems... go to Government instead. THEY will take care of you.

It's a simple concept, after all... Marx wrote about it at length, as did Hegel.

As for the belief in something greater than yourself, that's not going anywhere.

My particular belief system has been around for about 40,000 years or so and it is still here.

Not popular, granted... but not going anywhere either.

I read portions of Islamic text and there is the 'good feel' version and then there is the 'kill all the rest version'...WTF?

We are god, the universe is god and we are the universe.
People are starting to wake up to this on a whole.
Game over for the mental enslavers.

He's just pointing out what statism does.

Replacing faith in a higher power with faith in the government being the higher power.

Not hypocritical at all... just an observation on what socialism/communism does.

After all, if you feel you need Government to survive, then you're not really a free human being anyways.

So no need for any other sort of higher power.

After all, you're owned then.

The problem is that GOD has been given a very bad wrap by ATHIESTS who have not yet evolved enough to sense what is beyond our normal senses. They don't know what GOD is.

To be quite frank,

I am completely speechless about this particular statement.

All I can say is, are you serious?
