I'm having a hard time believing 1/3 of Swedish women have been raped

That is disproportionate to the population makeup, but from this data, it doesn't appear to be inline with inflated numbers from some who seem to be using this as an issue of politics.
That said, those were from convictions, so I wouldn't say this is the end all be all for the argument.

My wife would give someone 1/3 of a 9mm.....
I honestly dont know how a country can let their women be tormented so much.
Because rapes never happen in the USA.
Finland has a third of Sweden’s rape rates and a quarter of its sexual assault rates. Its numbers are still far higher than most of Europe, but nowhere near those of Sweden.
What could possibly explain the difference?
Finland is also fairly feminist, but the Muslim proportion of its population is only a third of Sweden. Finland has a third of Sweden’s Muslim population proportion and a third of its rape rate.
Sweden has the second highest non-indigenous Muslim immigration population rate in Europe and the second highest sexual assault rate in Europe. It would be foolish to pretend that this is a coincidence.

A wall is going to stop rape in the U.S?
I do understand the desire for stronger borders.

They aren't the same laws...
Women like bad boys. At least, that’s the story. And there’s lots of writing and anecdotal experience to back that up. Men frequently complain about being “friendzoned,” the idea being that men who are respectful toward their female interests get placed into the role of friend, rather than potential boyfriend.
These are complex, highly politicized dynamics that foster conflicts and finger pointing between the genders. Unfortunately, research suggests that women do in fact find sexist men attractive. Gul and Kupfer recently published research where they conducted multiple experiments, testing women’s attraction to different types of men, and teasing out women’s motivations.
