Wembley Or Bust!

Dang it! So I am late again to news of ELO. I had no idea they had a big show at Wembley (old news by now,) and apparently they are currently touring the US?

I missed them visiting my hometown about a decade ago, and looks like I missed them again. Just dang it!

Oh well, I can always buy the album and eventual video release. There are also ample vids on youtube.

ELO didn't tour much during their career as the studio-focused production wasn't always reproducible on stage. However it's nice to see Jeff Lynne rocking out his legacy.

I mean......... Jeff Lynne, now 70, lookin' good, not looking SO different from their first time at Wembly way back in '78. WOW!

I've seen ELO two times, and both were ......... a miracle, much like seeing Pink Floyd or Kansas or Queen or Yes or ELP -- a complete production, honed to perfection by consummate professional musicians that continually demonstrate their complete, passionate love for music.

Anyway, here's the first time (I think!) ELO played at Wembley. The place was a lot different then. ELO at Wembley 1978. Kelly Groucutt on bass and harmonies/vocals was wonderful, as was the precision and beauty of everyone else.
