Same Sex Marriage Left Out Of Cuba's New Constitution Despite Popular Support

Damn, I did not even realize they were at this point of a new constitution, and I know so many Cubans. I sure have no heard anyone discussing it out in the open at stores and eateries and such.

Anyways these are only drafts and they said they would just delegate defining marriage to a family code, whatever that is.

Havana (AFP) - Cuba will leave out of its new constitution changes that would have paved the way for legal same-sex marriage, despite majority support in local assemblies, a government official said Tuesday.

It was a surprising twist given public support nationwide for the reform and earlier remarks from lawmakers in the Americas' only one-party Communist regime.

The measure would have changed the definition of parties in a marriage from man and wife to "between two people."

But "the draft constitution will not define which parties enter into a marriage... So that is now out of constitutional reform discussions overall," Council of State secretary and drafting coordinator Homero Acosta was quoted as saying by state media.

The full draft constitution was put before neighborhood and workplace assemblies for debate between August and November.

Well you know what, I have nothing at all against Gay's but Good on em, SAME sex marriage makes real marriage a laughing stock, why can't they simply have civil partnership's with the same right's and protections as REAL married couples.

Also it is blasphemous for any church to hold such a mock ceremony in it's precincts.

But then the bible did say it would be as it was in the day's of Noah before the second coming.

And I don't think it will damn there soul's but I also definitely do NOT think the lord approves.



Marriage is a religious institution around which the family is meant to be built, children with both a secure MOTHER and a secure FATHER figure to give them solid role model's, it is also how the human race is supposed to behave.

Civil partnership is a modern practice that gives the same right's as married couples and in those nation's which practice it apply's to gay partners as well as straight partners.

You know what I believe, there are so many people whom are altered in this way in today's world because of a deliberate poisoning of the human race, pharmaceutical's and cosmetic's have infected the water table, male and female fertility is dropping, androgynous children are being born with ever increasing frequency even as the birth rate is dropping catastrophically and the human race if an intervention from above does not come is headed for extinction because of a runaway population control conspiracy by a group of moral retards with money and degree's.

So in my opinion there are two types of Gay's, Natural Gay's and Engineered Gay's.

Natural because even though they had wives Greek athlete's left love letters scratched onto wall's man to man, the understudy's of Spartan masters little boy's were also there lovers (which obviously is sickening and wrong on so many level's but it was there culture).

Artificial or engineered because - Chemical's that mimic female hormones in males and interfere with natural hormonal function while interfering with female hormonal function in woman and mimicking male hormones in them have been found throughout the water tables of many developed nations, PCB's from electrical insulators are another culprit and of course what the hell are they spraying with all of those chem trail leaving plane's.

One way to control population is to control Hormone's and interfere with hormonal development, how many victim's will actually stand up angrily and deny that they are actually victim's just because of PRIDE crap allowing that the scum that committed this crime to go Scot free and continue what they are doing to the rest of us.

Heaven forbid a sovereign country decides to define there own codes.

Have no problem with free people being together in a sexual relationship, but to call a bond between entities that cannot create life a 'marriage' is where I find belittlement in the word itself.

What is the reason gays, or whatever other sexuality, want the title of "married couple"? Equal benefits can be giving to all partnerships, but one that has the ability to create life seems to be the pinnacle of relationships itself, and ought to be revered.


We can have equality, as far as treatment goes, without giving their union the name "marriage". I find "marriage" to be the union of OPPOSITES to create the whole, or anew life. (despite folks that like to claim "marriage" is something forced upon daughters by kings)

The union between man and woman must stand separate, and above, other relationships; for the sole reason that it is the only way to create life. (arguing about test tube babies is futile, they are merely a middle man/an added step between the man and the woman). This can be done simply by selectively using the word marriage. When humans operate outside of the accepted anatomical functions/norms they are labeled defects/handicaps/impairments. Sexuality outside of heterosexuality is JUST FINE, but let's be honest and call a square a square.

While i agree that it is blasphemy for church to perform the ceremony of the sacrament of holy matrimony on same sex couples... i am proudly part of a parish that does not.

the state has no right to bar 2 individuals from entering into the contractual agreement that we, for convenience sake, happen to also call marriage.

And I thought we all loved capitalism. How could we ignore the potential for revenue for lawyers to proceed with divorce procedures as well as the additional court fees?? Lawyers spend money at fine dining and frequently need their boats and expensive cars Maintained and cleaned as well as anyone else.

There is a market that can increase these revenues by at least 10% for their economy overall. Who would think it wise to deprive the economy of double digits increases of revenue??

Not to mention the extravagant wedding is falmbouyant people tend to lean towards. No this will not do. I personally see marriage as antiquated concept of ownership over each other anyways, but the extra money towards the economy being g generated should not be ignored.
