Have a look at the images either side of the ones you post - if they are some sort of alien thing where are they?

I was hoping I would be able to find the images in the books I have from the time, but those two images aren't good enough to be in them.

I would cheerfully strike the word anomaly from the dictionary. It's become so abused it's meaningless. The things you have found are not anomalies, they are perfectly explicable. No fairy dust required.
