Ha i know Marines tend to need special treatment, but a full scale mockup seems just a bit excessive?

It's actually a fairly common practice, you just don't see most mockups in the public eye.

It’s also an advantage to get hands on with enemy gear and the more relevant argument would be the F-35 design documents (at least a portion of them) that China got their hands on.

Considering that the F-35 is generations beyond both the J-20 and Su-57 a live example would be far more damaging.

Indeee I wasn’t arguing that the J20 or SU57 are in the same ball park was just disagreeing with the guy I was replying to saying that having a F35 wouldn’t help the Chinese or Russians.
