HI, so this is something that happened back in Sept of 2010 in Oregon. Sorry if this is long and hard to read, im not that great at breaking up the paragraphs like i should.

I am 50 years old now, so its been 8 years and im still troubled by this and wanted to ask others opinions. My wife and kid and i were driving back home around 10pm back from a dinner party. As we rounded a bend in the road we both noticed what at first looked like just a bright light in the sky, I would guess it was the size of a dime if you held it up. It was really bright though, just a solid ball/mass of bright white light. What happened next is what is fuzzy and at the same time a little disturbing.

This bright white light collapsed in on itself, and all at once was right on top of us. I looked to my right at my wife in the passenger seat, who was bracing for impact. She had a really scared look on her face and yelled "oh my god its going to hit us!" as she cringed back into her seat. I looked up to see this craft swoop right above our car and go into position just right above the tree tops and sit there. At this point i had stopped my car and was just staring at it. It "powered up" by turning into a bright ball of light and proceeded to dart up into the sky, then back down to the treetops where it would "power down" meaning the light would collapse and it would then be the craft again.

The color was almost like molten metal, meaning it was glowing a golden color at night. It had lights on the bottom of it, although lights isnt the right word. The shape was your typical UFO shape. Just like two saucers put together. It just sat there for a bit, close..i mean like tree top level.... then slowly floated away until it went out of view. I felt a sudden urge to get out of there instead of following it and at that point i just drove home.

Here is the troubling part. When we got home, my wife was extremely disturbed by what happened and so was i but in a wierd way. I felt almost sick inside from it, like i wanted to crawl into a hole and hide. I tried to bring it up but my wife did not want to talk about it, either did i really. Ive never felt more like something that was hunted, if that makes sense. I was scared on a primal level, i cant explain it better than that. The whole thing was just disturbing to the point where we couldnt get over it, it took us a few days before we could drive back to the spot where it happened during the day just to talk about it. To this day, my wife still doesnt want to discuss it. I would like to get a recall on what happend that night. How is this done and by whom?

Bummer. Breaking those paragraphs up would’ve helped...immensely.

Maybe take 30 and come back with a light proofread and some paragraph breaks and I’m sure you’ll get more attention/scrutiny.

Hope you do, because if this is a genuine experience ATS is the best place to get limited answers.

Best of luck

I am a rational intelligent person yet just the thought of really truly seeing an alien face to face also frightens me on a primal level(excellent description, by the way). It is a type of fear that only comes from thinking about actually encountering aliens. Much like prey must experience. Almost instinctual.

Some things you said hit home for me, especially the golden color which I do not hear very often...
Curious for more discriptive details...
Did it seem to be lit evenly from within? Did it also exhibit what appeared as shadows cast upon itself or as if there was movement on its surface?

Fear of something you haven't encountered = irrational

Fear of something with claws and fangs = rational

In between...

The fact that it's not rational and I have nothing to base this fear on is why this primal instinctual fear of the very alieness of aliens is so puzzleing.

What a truly disturbing event! I feel compelled to say how sorry I am for you and your wife. I, and many here on ATS, enjoy the paranormal, ufo stories and all manner of high strangeness but as "stories". I had forgot the horror people suffer then despair when help is unavailable and answers never found. I wish I could help and hope someone here can.

Love and Light,
Aka

Btw, down with paragraphs, runonsentences, bad grammer and punkshewation police!

It didnt have any seams, no dome on top, had two lights on the bottom or two colors glowing. Really just looked like a poker pulled from a fire when it was in cruise mode. In order to move around fast it had to power up by becoming a big ball of light. No doors, no windows, no landing gear.

Ok

When first noticing it, before it came to you...Did you happen to say or even think to yourself something like I see you?
How about physical sensations during and after?
When you try to remember do you find it difficult to even try to concentrate upon your memory of it?

I'm interested in the 'missing time' referenced in your title. Could you elaborate more on that?

And how old was your child when this happened? Curious if they seemed to notice anything or be disturbed at all by this happening.

When you say "I would like to get a recall on what happened that night. How is that done and by whom?" are you asking about something like hypnotic regression? My understanding is that there's a lot of controversy around that topic, but I'm sure there are others here who know more about it than I do and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Not really, although i had an overwhelming feeling that they saw us and that is when the feeling of being hunted set in. I guess stalked would be a word that comes to mind. When my wife and i try to look back at the event, we both see things happening in just flashes or pictures not a whole event and its very difficult to concentrate on any kind of details.

The missing time reference is because there is a difference between what i told MUFON when i was being interviewed 8 years ago to today. When i look back at the event now, i see us alone. No other cars around at all. So i asked my wife does she remember this happening with traffic? Or no cars? She says with confidence there were no one else around. I feel the same way. So why did i report this 8 years ago that there was traffic all around me? My kid was 7 at the time, and was sitting in the back seat. On the way home that night i asked him what he saw, he said he saw a big bright light. Not much more. Yes, i am talking about hypnotic regression, although im not sure i believe that stuff works.

Not that i noticed, but after reporting this sighting on the MUFON website a few hours later my cell phone rang and the number showing said "blocked" or unavailble or something like that. When i answered someone said "Is this (enter my first and last name here)? I said, Yes...all they said was "Thank you" very kindly and hung up on me. It was very creepy. I did not put my phone number down on the MUFON website after reporting it. Only my email address. It very much seemed like it was a call from someone either to verify it was my cell phone, or someone trying to intimidate me. Who knows maybe someone did follow me around, if they did i did not notice them.

I totally believe you. I am so sorry you have had a rough time with the experience.

I am very familiar with the golden glow.

I really don't want to say anything more about my experience. I just wanted to let you know , there are those of us that understand what you are going through.

Good luck and God bless you

My first instinct is to warn you to be very cautious about attempting hypnotic regression. Not necessarily because of the authenticity or INauthenticity of such an approach, rather the fact that your 7-year-old child was in the car.

If the session reveals that all THREE of you were abducted, how would that affect you psychologically if you do believe the regression is accurate?

Then again, since your child is 15-16-years-old NOW, have you asked him directly what he thinks of such an option?

Thanks for posting a fascinating experience, by the way. Star & Flag.
