OK so this was in the UK, but I think we all know the results would probably be the same here in the US. (maybe worse?)

I'm not a germ freak, and know that some bacteria can be healthy, but this is downright gross and disgusting!!

How would you like some Staph with that burger, or how about some Listeria with those fries, or what about a little case of pneumonia with that shake? Just think about how many touchscreens you use in a week....hmm

I have been boycotting McDonalds since the middle of July when I was bringing my grandgirl back to Texas after having her for 3 1/2 weeks during her summer break. We had stopped in West Memphis, Arkansas and she wanted a Happy Meal for lunch but when I couldn't get an actual cashier to take my order (the cashier ONLY takes cash payments from those without debit/credit cards AFTER self-serving at the kiosks) we walked out and went elsewhere for lunch. It wasn't about my ability to use a kiosk (a manager volunteered to help if I was ignorant- which I'm not) and it wasn't even about the bacteria and germ issue- it was because of the people whose jobs have been replaced by those kiosks! I gave the entire store my opinion of kiosks replacing people that day and have boycotted McDonalds ever since!

What's an "Mcdonalds self serve screen"?

Sounds like some bad juju evil robotoid to me!



This is just how it goes. BET: every item in your house probably does too.

Mythbusters did a whole episode about this, they put toothbrushes all over the place in the shop restroom, nobody even tampering with the they were just in around here and there. They even put one all the way across the shop like nowhere even near the restroom.

ALL of them gave positive agar plate results for 'fecal matter'.

Now imagine if you have pets in the house...

I remember the days when they cooked the fries in beef tallow, now those were the best french fries! Mcdonalds tasted good, Pizza hut was amazing, remember those checkered tablecloths, the little candle in the red glass? Taco bell used to cook with real steak. Kids today have no clue what it used to taste like back then.

A few days later I ended up having such a bad case of the s***s that after it was done I finished by s***ting blood off and on for about 12 more hours and then lost about 10 pounds in the following 2 or 3 days.
I've been afraid to get food from McDonalds ever since.

My last meal from Burger King was almost exactly 22 years ago in Seattle. I said to myself, wow this burger is dry.
Worst food poisoning i've ever had. Very similar to your situation. The only time I thought I was really going to die.

Yep perhaps they need a wash basin next to the kiosk with a sign saying "wash hands before touching the screen".

Now consider the germs on shopping trolleys, petrol pumps, door handles your mobile phone...

Touch screens have nothing on gas pump handles... the UofA did years of study on public disease vectors and far above toilets and touch screens (and yeah touchscreens were one of the worst) were gas pump handles, followed by the screens and buttons on the pumps.

Face it, many folks don't care they are spreading filth and disease, as it's Their filth. Though if they knew the little bugs living in their intestines and nether areas could easily kill them , too, they might bother to wash their hands.

It's only a matter of time until the next uber lethal pandemic. Fluids and vit c , heh.

I wash my hands a dozen times(probably 2) a day.

I assumed it was common knowledge that things touched most by other people are absolutely filthy.

Door handles, gas pumps, cart handles, etc.

Cell phones are nasty, I wont touch anyone else's unless I have to. It grosses me out people use them in the toilet.

I wipe mine down with alcohol a few times a week.

I guarantee most things in public that people touch all the time will come back positive for fecal matter. This is America. There’s an exponential amount of ass scratching happening at any given moment.
