And please spare me the "you should at least respect him now in death" garbage. He was directly complicit in the murder of JFK, his father Prescott was a Nazi financier, sympathizer, and collaborator. Not to mention that Gulf War bull# and being head of one of the world's most prolific terrorist organizations, the C.I.A.
Good riddance.

I don't waste my energy hating Hitler, Stalin, or anyone else, either. They're dead. I remember their deeds, but that's different than wishing ill on the dead.
All that hate is gonna burn you up inside, and it doesn't make any difference to those you hate who are dead.

Union Pacific will participate the presidential funeral procession for George H. W. Bush.
The railroad announced Saturday locomotive 4141 will take the president's body from the Houston area to College Station -- the home of his presidential library on the Texas A&M campus

"I was of the understanding that was something inherent in everyone, after all I have seen it in so many impoverished peoples in the so many countries ive been to........"
yikes...
Well, I guess the 'so few' countries I've been to have left me a cynical, cold-hearted bastard. And, the really sad thing? The fact that all these impoverished countries you've witnessed all this GRACE in are more than likely continuing to be so impoverished due to GHWB's neo-con, imperliast policies that he pushed while in the White House, and at the CIA! (Basically all of Central America got f'd in the b by this "American hero".

Evil men should not be mourned - but to those in his family (those that are innocent) they do deserve condolences, for it is not their fault they were born into a family with Bush Snr in it and not their fault that family ties bring with them pain at the passing of those held dear.

The late GHW Bush. He was the first president I was old enough to vote for, and I worked the polls for him in my old hometown, and voted for him at age 18.
He was also the first president I ever regretted voting for.
I guess that's the way goes....
