If I agree with Trump and his policies it should be no suprise that I feel that corruption was in Washinton and the media long before Trump. We do disagree but I have wondered what the focus of a Trump supporter is (I see him as ineffective, as so many of the people he put into positions of power have then turned out to be corrupt themselves.)

I don't think he has anything.

He hasn't repeated the threat, and he hasn't released anything. I seem to recall that there were other times when he claimed to have tape/other material on some person and they challenged Trump to present the evidence and he never did. I don't think this is from any sense of personal nobility, given the verbal (and written) abuse he's heaped on people.

I think it's just a bluff, don't you?

There was immediate backlash from both sides when he said that.

Myself and other supporters included. Don't expect to see that threat repeated. That was an abusive as hell thing to say.

A: Allies (I believe they were British) that had agents directly involved and he was talked down to maintain current diplomatic relations.

B: They were threatening to pin him for obstruction during the Mueller probe if he did. I think this was the real issue and would have just been a big PITA that really only delays things.

He has original classification/declass authority, so can do whatever he wants, but when the Mueller probe is over, he is no longer under threat of obstruction if he decides to declass. The British agents involved with it are a small part of the picture, and will probably be ignored even though they apparently were active in trying to "set up" a russian connection.

Ultimately, I think it will be a case of who thinks they have more dirt on whom, and who thinks they have more power and allies (real or imagined). Nobody is clean in this, but how dirty is the dirt and what is the subject matter will determine how far anything goes.

Personally, I don't think Trump has geopolitical skeletons (not even Russia). I think he probably has lot of personal-life skeletons. I think there are a lot of Dems that were directly involved (We know about Fusion and Hilary's campaign, Strozk and Page, Baker, etc.), but the secondary connections or how/what Obama was involved would be the skeletons of interest.

Now would be the time to push back if the threat was not empty.

They are coming in full force now for him.

President Trump told anchor Sean Hannity this evening, that his lawyers previously had advised him not to take that dramatic step out of fear that it could be considered obstruction of justice.

“I do, I have plans to declassify and release. I have plans to absolutely release,” Trump said. “I have some very talented people working for me, lawyers, they really didn’t want me to do it early on.”

Trump also accused FBI officials of committing “treason” — slamming former FBI Director James Comey as a “terrible guy,” former CIA Director John Brennan as potentially mentally ill, and Democrat House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff as a criminal.

I think he would only do that if he had a solution to whatever problem he brought forth in order to get the credit for fixing America.

His ego is the trait that I trust him the most for. He wants to be remembered as a great leader and if he crashed the whole system intentionally, that wouldn't be in line with his behavior.

He should do it immediately. Without delay... take the initiative and strike the enemy.

Who dares wins.

Waiting for them to attack gives them the initiative and gives them an opportunity to distract from the information with claims of "retribution."

If he actually has this kind of information, it should be released immediately. And if a shred of it rises to criminal conduct (or meets the definition of an unlawful enemy combatant) they should be rounded up and charged. Otherwise, get it out to the media and make sure the country knows what kind of garbage we have infesting our government.

How he does it, is not actually how it is supposed to work. Checks and balances. Oversight. Congress. Not.. a massive stack of executive orders because you have the political savvy of a potato. He is simply trying to do whatever he wants, and literally feels like NO decision he makes is a bad one, or deserves to be questioned. Sorry.. that is WRONG.

When you say "the way it supposed to work l" you mean the opposing party is supposed to stop him from doing everything that he promised his voters do they have a better chance of defeating him next election and vice versa? Brilliant!!
