Perhaps he should release and destroy them while he still can. I don't know where he has been, but they have been attacking him from the very start and I don't foresee any future in which they don't continue until he's gone or dead. If he has crimes that they have committed, he should take care of that instead of trying to use the silencing of those crimes as an olive leaf. The Democrats don't want peace with him, they want war and/or his extermination as well as all Conservatives. He should give them war, if he has the ammunition. It's that simple. They want war...bring them war.

The same sort of politics happens in corporations and universities. You start with some blue sky project, an empty patch of ground plus, an empty desk with a brand new PC. Nothing else. You are given an assignment. You work on that task over weeks, months, years and have something solid and bulletproof, a nifty little application. Maybe it's something like connecting to every federal database on people and automating search requests, or visualizing email meta-data in a virtual world of faces and corporations. What would take months of investigators time just takes a second. Suddenly that project has value, a very big value, millions if not billions as well as promotions.

Suddenly, you are no longer under the radar and everyone knows you are literally sitting on a vault of gold bullion, completely defenceless. When announced, whoever is associated with it, will get a mega-promotion. The temptation is too great for some to miss. Next thing you are told to abandon that project and hand it over to someone - who just happens to be best pals of some one else more senior. Resist and they destroy you, submit and you still lose long-term. So the best thing is to keep quiet and wait until you are out in the clear and in the high ground, then point the finger.

Other times, someone else may have goofed up legalwise or abused their authority but managed to cover it up. Either way, the swamp starts to overflow with skeletons buried in cupboards. Then everyone uses this knowledge against each other.

Trump is, above all, a showman.


The "opportune moment" will most likely not be "when he needs it". It will be when everyone is eagerly watching to see what he's got.


Just like any hat trick done by the magician on stage. The audience's reaction is all about the build up.

He is giving them war. He's herding them into the "kill zone" so he can dispatch them all in one shot.

Or maybe a few shots. A few herdings. A few kill zones. But this one looks like it will be a pretty devastating hit for them if they keep playing along.

"the work that Congress needs to do" is legislative. Their investigative mandate is just a check on runaway Executive power, not their primary job. I think Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is rubbing off on them.
