Ads still present after logging in

Per the title...I'm still seeing ads after logging in. I haven't seen ads after logging in for several years.

Is this something the Overlord has implemented lately?

I have a close option.

No change here; One at the bottom of the device screen and one at the top of the site page.

The redirects gave me peace for a couple days, but seem to be back with a vengeance though..

Hush. I'm pretty sure the ad free experience is reserved for older/more active members. We don't want the commoners knowing we get special treatment.

In fact, for the longest time I always assumed I was just grandfathered in from the days when only Gold Level Contributors didn't have ads.

But yes, I do have ads showing up all of a sudden today.

Those are the ones giving me grief today! Completely hijacks the page. Twice while I was composing a response.

Yeah...I have been here for a while and they just started popping up for me today too. It is really annoying on a phone.....enough so that it will keep me from being on the forum frequently.

I've been seeing an add on the bottom of the android screen last few days. It has a close button, but it comes back.

Just cause 4 is apparently coming out next month, my kid should be happy about that at least.

Usually no ads at all with the rare exception of the home page. Today has been stupid.

The ad at the bottom is coming back 2-3 seconds after hitting close. don't mind ads but today has been bad

They stay gone for me as long as I dont refresh or navigate to a new page.

And now they seem to be gone, for me anyway, except for this thread, lol.

It's driving me mad! I used to just get them on the home page, but not other pages. Now I am. I'm on a laptop. It's driving me crazy!!!

Yep getting ads, not only that but security warning have been popping up the last few days....

It's a free website, online forum with a lot of great content and intelligent people with amazing diversity. So I won't complain about seeing ads now, but if possible it would be nice if the ads would close when I hit close, not several attempts later.
