If these representatives spent one tenth the time they do focused on foreign people instead focusing on making life better for their own constituents, maybe things would be better in their districts

Why is it only a problem that “women and children” were tear gassed?

The same people that make those type of somments also belittle when people bring up the fact that most of these people are working aged men

This is basically an admission that women in particular should be treated differently than men

But isn’t this the same crowd that says that we should treat men and women the exact same?

Is it ok to gas the 90 percent or so of these people that are men, so long as the women and children are allowed to walk through unimpeded?

Well to be honest. The UN should be there. It's a rather large event, just to witness and record what's going on, just in case, hence why the UN was invented in the first place (not that anyone actually listens).
But, at the end of the day, it's nothing really to make statements like this to be honest, over exaggeration.
