That is the way he is protrayed by the media. I've seen video of him in a full belly laugh and smile (IDK if he was drunk or not) and you wouldn't think the same if you saw that - he looked like any happy guy. I think he has had a very unique and difficult life and it has made him a hard man, who has to be hard to control the Russian people. Russia is a totally different culture and thus they require being handled differently. There is a reason people study cultures b/c they all so different.

I think that is possible. There are some pics where his eyes are just no where near the same (ears were off as well). That makes sense b/c people like him usually have doubles. Saddam had a few IIRC.
