This goes to show how easily the Media and Pundits fan RUMORS until everyone believes them. Before the MidTerm elections, virtually every news outlet and "expert" were stating: "The Special Counsel investigation is wrapping up".

But today we learn..

Prosecutors representing special counsel Robert Mueller say they’re not ready for Gates to be sentenced, because he is continuing to cooperate with “several ongoing investigations.”

They are therefore asking a federal judge to give them until mid-January before they have to give another update about his case.

The filing confirms that the investigation will extend into next year, as Mueller continues to probe Russian election interference and any possible coordination with President Donald Trump’s associates.

WHY would Bob Mueller want to keep his investigation going..and going..and going, even though he hasn't delivered much to this point?

♦(1) Create an investigation – Just by creating the investigation it is then used as a shield by any corrupt FBI/DOJ official who would find himself/herself under downstream congressional investigation.

Former officials being deposed/questioned by IG Horowitz or Congress could then say they are unable to answer those questions due to the ongoing special counsel investigation. In this way Mueller provides cover for ideologically aligned deep state officials.

♦(2) Use the investigation to keep any and all inquiry focused away from the corrupt DOJ and FBI activity that took place in 2015, 2016, 2017.

♦(3) Use the investigation to suck-up, absorb, any damaging investigative material that might surface as a result of tangentially related inquiry. Example: control the exposure of evidence against classified leak participants like SSCI Director of Security, James Wolfe; and/or block IG Horowitz from seeing material related to the FISA abuse scandal and “spygate”.

In this way, Mueller provides cover for the institutions and the administrative state.

In all of these objectives, the Mueller special counsel has been stunningly effective.

However, the ‘trust the plan’crew believes Rosenstein and Mueller are working on behalf of President Trump to confront the deep state; and everything that appears to be bad news is really just good news we haven’t discovered yet.

You decide which is more likely…

Should Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker refocus, restrict, or even terminate this expensive Special Counsel investigation outright?

Or, should AAG Whitaker just leave the investigation alone, and let Bob Mueller do what he wants to do?

Said it before and I will say it again....

Mueller will go when Trump does.

Because his actual only job is the continued undermining of a duly elected President... through leaks, indictments that have nothing to do with what he was supposed to be investigating, interviews on all the darling news networks to keep a Presidential approval rating down.

This never had anything to do with "collusion".

It has everything to keep up the "illusion" that Trump and Co are under investigation.

S&F...

In your opinion, Bob Mueller should be terminated? He's not God. Either Whitaker or Trump could send him packing tomorrow.

$17M as of early summer. It's an easy job with an amazing salary. Paid for by libs, dems, progs, reps, cons....you know, taxpayers.

Any more questions?

Nah.

Let Mueller report to his new AG.

The rest will sort itself out.

I mean... what will be the first conversation between the two?

Mueller: SoOo... we've been working on this 2016 election and Russian collusion thing...

Whittaker: I'm interested! What have you got on Hillary so far?

Yep. That and the increasing evidence that Meuller is in place to help shield the corrupt DOJ players from their past crimes.

Meuller's "investigation" acts as a blanket for releasing and using info if they can claim it's related to the "collusion" theme.

As you saw in the quoted text, Bob Mueller's investigation is keeping the heat off of deep state criminals. That COULD BE the true reason for him not "wrapping things up".

If that's the case, then more power to Mueller/Huber/Horowitz.

All put together post-election as a means to run interference for the bad actors.

Bad actor in the spotlight?

ZOMG... can't talk about THAT at all because... in the middle of an investigation.

So yea... it's just a way to keep what happened from us, the People.

So we don't just burn the place down and start over.

Does it matter?

Charges filed/Impeachment>Shot down in the Senate = Still a massive bill

No charges=Still a massive bill

This will last at least as long as Trump's presidency. By design!

There's no way this goes away as long as Trump is president.

That makes a lot of sense. But Mueller also met with President Trump for 4 hours, the day before assuming the job of Special Counsel.

Right.. massive $$$ bill for taxpayers, but "mission accomplished" from Mueller and Deep State's perspective. That's one way of looking at it.

Since there are no upcoming elections, Matthew Whitaker could restrict Bob Mueller to investigating RUSSIAN COLLUSION. If he doesn't find any by 12/31/2018...after 18 months of looking, he calls it quits.

I thought we banded to vote this crap out.

And then Matthew Whitaker likely becomes a primary subject included in Mueller's investigation for "alleged involvement in a 'scam'".... You know this story is already written.

Would you like to know how it ends?

(Some people dislike spoilers)

Since the RUSSIANS and CHINESE didn't interfere in our 2018 elections, Mueller should receive a medal, pat on the back for a job well done...and his investigation terminated.

Great job Bob!

Mueller's team really could consist of "12 Angry Democrats", just as President Trump has stated, for over a year now.

An attorney who appeared as a witness before the Mueller grand jury is accusing the special counsel’s office of a conflict of interest because one of the prosecutors involved in the special counsel’s case has worked for Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

The prosecutor, Jeannie Rhee, has questioned witnesses about Roger Stone, the Trump confidant who is one of the targets of the investigation, numerous sources tell The Daily Caller News Foundation. Rhee questioned Tyler Nixon, an attorney for Stone, just before his grand jury appearance on Nov. 2.

“[Rhee’s involvement] was not disclosed to me prior to my testimony, and I find this to be deeply troubling and certainly Ms. Rhee should be recused or removed from the investigation,” Nixon told TheDCNF.

Truly sad; the way I see it ...

1) Muller is extremely incompetent and is allowing a criminal to run the country for over three years.

Or

2) Muller is a criminal conspiring to help depose an elected president.

Neither one is all that great.
