Congratulations!

...Just to be clear the weird Xerxes facial piercings are required by the job or you would be getting them on your own?

It's Portland, so kinda required.

I don't know how many years till retirement you have, or what you have saved for retirement. But if you can get a big chunk of cash for the remaining years till you retire then I personally would do it. I also don't know how many people are above you that you may have to answer to. But if you are doing a great job then you should have no problems there. If it was me I would ..............

Thank you. My son is permanently on the transplant list. He’s 13. He had a scary heart failure episode for no discernible reason, so even though he’s managed to bounce back quite a bit, they are afraid it will happen again. I’m hoping he can hold it off for a long time.

Blessings on your family as well. It is a very hard road indeed.

So you eat their food, live in a backless tie up hospital gown whilst they do live human testing on you.

Absolutely!

What's life if you can't flash a hairy ass at staff all day long!

Damn dude, never mind your salary, they're not paying the staff anywhere near enough for putting up with that eyesore

Thought I'd share a little update.

I was leaning towards not taking the job and staying in my little coastal town and just biding my time.

They countered.

They said I could "headquarter" in my tiny little coastal town, not move, but still have the job.

We talk salary on the 'morrow.

Well, the paper work has all been paper worked.

I'll either get my official offer letter in 2 weeks, or sink off into obscurity.

Thanks.

This means I will have to wear a suit and frown a lot and act all grown-uppy and be serious and sometimes be stern.

Might even have to have "meetings" with "people" and be unable to poke them with sharp sticks when they irritate me.

My intial thought was to embrace the direction which would allow you to get more piercings. and then..... I read this:

My wife, my bride, my reason for living, is also leaning that way as well.
That's all you really need to know; you've already decided, mate. No brainer. ;o)

Nor his knock-off Lady Gaga-inspired meat suit. There's a time & place for that one, and the work office isn't Aug's basement on Saturdays.

If you decide to take that job offer does that mean I will start
getting paid for making you sammies and baking cookies?

Of course not. But it does mean you'll get a few less lashes, and maybe see daylight once or twice a year, if he's feeling generous.
