I go to bed earlier than my wife. A few night's ago, when almost asleep, I thought she had come to bed early. I felt the bed compress as it would when she does come to bed. I roll over to snuggle with her, and she is not there. I sit up and see her sitting in the living room watching TV.

Strange.

I get up and ask her if she had been in there and she said no. I tell her of my experience.

Ever since then, our dog will not go into the bed room , or if he does, will not get on the bed.

Mind you, our dog will take any chance to hop on our bed , mess it up and lay on it , playfully barking at us to come play with him.

Even if I go lay on the bed, he will not get on the bed. Any other time, he would be all over it, wanting to play and going nuts.

My wife has had problems with ghosts and demons and the past and thinks maybe they finally found her some thousand miles from where she is from.

Any one ever experience this?

Thoughts?

A bout a year after I lost my wife to BC...(at an early age)...I woke up in the middle of the night and saw her next to me in the bed (she was turned away from me).
I snuggled up to her and she turned around and it was her beautiful smiling face looking at me.
I was so happy...even thinking I had only dreamed she died...I went to kiss her...and she turned into a horrible old hag.

I jumped out of bed...and, shaking, I turned on the lights.

Her side of the bed was empty...and I couldn't sleep the rest of the night until I fell asleep on the couch in the living room.

It never happened again.

There have been times when I was absolutely convinced I heard someone come into my room at night, but saw nothing and no one was there. Happened when I was a kid and also over the years. I also frequently hear things like the sounds of doors opening/closing down the hallway when there should not be anyone on that end of the house, ie we're all in the living room, or I'm the only one home. Often, the kids hear nothing and joke that I'm losing it finally.

One thing that I do remember quite vividly was sitting at my computer one night playing a game. It was, I kid you not, right straight up 3 am, and I felt this incredibly chilling burst of cold air against the back of my neck. Cold enough that I spun around to see if someone had moved past me and stirred the air up. No one there. Everyone else was asleep. Witching hour indeed. That creeped me the hell out. And to top it off, our black cat was staring up at the ceiling in the corner of the room right behind where I was sitting. It's never happened since, but man do I remember that feeling.

Oh, wow! Thanks for sharing that.

I don't know what this was. My wife couldn't sleep in the bed after that happened to me.

I think I should mention that when I finally came to bed (yes, I am wifey) I could not get comfortable no matter what position I moved to and felt really strange- so much that I ended up going back to the living room after tossing and turning for a few hours and immediately falling asleep on the sofa with no issues. It was very unnerving.

Only thing I can think of is I had a bad week at work and carried it home. Also, there is suppose to be a ghost of a little girl on the floor I am working on in a hospital. I am working on replacing elevators there.I was having a strange problem on one of the elevators I finished and close to being done with the last one. This floor is basically abandoned.

Same but opposite.
A few years ago my old man died, my mum lives on a big property and due to the lose of my father she never recovered. So I moved in to help her out. At first things were fine, I had two large dogs but unfortunately after being there for a short time I lost one due to a snake bite. My mum has two dogs one little one large. About two years ago I noticed something about the place was a little off, things would move, a wallet, my keys.. where is the remote control. I swear I put it there.. Then the nightmares started, prior to this I don't remember a dream, not one. but since being here I remember, the lady on the ceiling, the hole in the floor, waking up with the claw marks I made in my closet trying to escape from the dream.

A year ago the cat moved in, it's a stray but like I said we live on a property and it's not uncommon for city folk to dump there unwanted pets out here. This was a time when things got really weird, it wasn't just keys or a wallet. It was a TV upside down on the other side of the room weird. It was going to sleep and waking up with all the draws and wardrobe doors open weird. The cat, I often joke she came to issue me into the next world, maybe i watch to much TV. Caroline.

I'd say still to this day at least 2-3 times a week I'm awoken by one of the dogs growling at the dark, or by the cat sitting on my chest hissing at it. I don't know whats there but whilst I'm here there is never a time I don't have a animal escort watching over me. Most off the time it's all off them.

This is quite possible and not uncommon. Have either of you brought a used object into your home? Do you know the history of the house and land it is built on? I am also intrigued about the little girl ghost at your place of employment.

Some people are more sensitive to these things than others.

Have their been other odd occurrences around the home? Your dog is obviously seeing/sensing something.

Animals certainly do sense things, that we simply cannot.

We live in a remote mountain valley; we listen to our livestock... especially the horses and alpacas. I remember one occasion when they all got really spooked, and we couldn't find any reason... we found out later that it was an earthquake we didn't even feel.

We had snow today that was not in the weather forecast... our chickens (free-range) all ran back to the coop before the first flurries even started. (The ducks stayed out, and played in it all day... but, ducks are just different... )

Pay attention to your animals, and they can really surprise you...

S&F !

Yes, animals are the most receptive to this phenomena. With the paranormal, ghosts or other there's really no limits as people have reported being followed home by some. Has anyone attempted to contact such as use any devices lately? Any odd dreams, nightmares? Ands/or significant life changes?

Hey Night Star!

We live in a tee tiny apartment for the last four years and this just happened.

Wifey and I tried an experiment just now. The dog, Groot is extremely jealous of us touching and kissing each other.

We got in the bed, Groot followed us and would not attempt to jump up and break us apart as he usually does.

Another thing is, his ears have been laid back, he is a pit bull, and when he knows he did something wrong, he does this.

Even sitting on the couch as we normally we do, he won't come between us as he is extremely jealous.

No devices, no changes in life. No sort of contact of any sorts. Same old same old. We both have had odd dreams, but nothing specific or scary.

I do pay attention to my animals, and Groot has been acting strange all day. Makes me wonder if something is going to happen, like a sign or something.

We have three dogs, two of which are Belgian Malinois...

The Belgians have a deep intuition... like they can read people. We have had people visit, that the Belgians did not like.

Those people have not been invited back to our home... we trust our dogs, and they have yet to be wrong...

Check into seeing if there's any odd historical notes of where you live. Also, be alert of geological to whether changes depending on where you live if they continue acting this way.

Keep us updated!

My dog loves everyone that I know , especially the kids.

However, he senses intent. I do not know how he does it , but he has proven his intuition.

I fear for his life, because I know he is fearless if he senses ill intent with anyone that tries to gain entry to my house.

He is part boxer and pitbull. The nicest dog you would ever meet if you came to my house as a friend.

If you entered my house with intent to do harm to anyone here, he might be harmed, but not before he had ingested your balls.

Good boy.

My dogs give early warning that there are mice in the loft, long before we hear them scrabbling around. I used to find it disconcerting that they would be staring intently at the ceiling.

Other than that the mind plays tricks, especially in the time between wakefulness and sleep.

Animals are your best perimeter alert system.
But I'll qualify that by adding some are more skilled than others in knowing when to alert you.

For instance I also had a dog with great people reading skills, an he was proven correct over & over. Out of the couple of house cats I have now only two show any skills. One consistently is on alert for humans on the property an "goes off like a dog" charging the door and growling. He's actually scared the Police who were here to notify me of a death in the family cause my cell phone had died. I believe he learnt his chosen "job" from being raised with the dogs, who have since passed from old age. He's a big guy 30 lbs, so Officer had legit concerns. Cat was growling like a dog at full volume launching into glass door at chest height. Actually impressive.

The other cat has apparently decided he's what I laughingly call a "woo detector". If there is some high strangeness going on he's persistent in getting my attention. Orbs seem to set him off the most. Other stuff too, but usually I don't care that much, the orbs are at least visible to me, so whatever.

From what I've seen animals pick their jobs, but if you figure it out and reward them they get better at it and also more consistent with it.
