Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Will Retire from the US Supreme Court in January, 2019

According to The Santa Monica Observer RBG's cancer is out of remission.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had a re-occurrence of malignant melanoma, she has told her law clerks. Ginsburg was treated in 1999 for colon cancer and had surgery in 2009 for pancreatic cancer.

Could the broken ribs be a cover story?

she had fallen before and cracked two ribs.. This time it is reported she cracked 3 ribs.. She is a very small frail woman. Cracked ribs can lead to pneumonia for someone of her advanced age. I am betting 50/50 that she unable to make it to the end of January especially if she goes under Kemo again.

We might as well stock up on popcorn for the next supreme nomination.. I am guessing it will be a female who is so conservative that she makes Kav look like a progressive.. I can't wait !! hahah

yeah that didnt pass most of the smell test i asked about it, in another OP, no one else is running with it it seems to imply the midterms haven't happened yet and literally no one is running with it from major media to even the fringe as much as i would like trump to get another scotus seat i dont see this being real. lol would be hilarious though if some Podunk/unknown rag managed to break something before every one else but i dont think that' s the case here.

I suspect that she will retire, and she should.

By all accounts, she is well respected by her fellow supremes. I recall a picture not to long ago of a public event, maybe the State of the Union address, she was, by my eye, not well...and her fellow justice, Clarence Thomas, was nearly hovering over her. That tells me the respect that they have for her.

I don't particularly like her politics, but on a personal level, I've nothing but respect for her. This is a time that will come for all of us, I can only wish her well.

I think this is a fake news site. I went to the front page and it was not the front page of a real news paper. Plus if you look at the author’s byline, it’s mostly filled with crap.

I would expect this to be reported by a major newspaper. RBG would do it through WaPo, NYT or a formal press statement.

She's an activist. It's the only thing that gives her life meaning.

Once an activist is made they need controversy to stay relevant. Her entire career on that bench has been an exercise in precisely that.

Maybe she got metastatic disease from one of her original cancers, now to the ribs, enabling them to fracture easier, in a 'pathologic fracture'.

Then, they discovered with imaging studies that the cancer was back, when they were looking at the symptomatic broken ribs....

That could be one theory, to make those pieces fit together.

I'm thinking they fracture easily because she's 85 and a mother of two. These are factors we know for a fact. No speculation is needed.

She's back to work this quickly after cracking 3 ribs? Bulls__t.

I wonder if perhaps there wasn't any injury, and the whole thing was just an excuse to not be there for Kavenaugh's swearing-in ceremony.

Reading and preparing briefs isn't exactly strenuous activity. There isn't much to do but wrap her tight and send her on the way if it's just ribs. She won't be comfortable, but she can read with broken ribs.
