Justice Thomas, age 70, will retire.

He's there to serve and not for power. Therefore I predict that he will resign after this court session. Let Trump pick his replacement and then go around the country in his RV, with his wife

I've heard those rumors...but 70 is not extremely old.
Still, it may be a good move.

Imagine a sitting president getting to pick not one, but THREE, SCOTUS justices of his choosing during his first term!

Has it ever happened?

www.thoughtco.com... so apparently not that rare

Is It Rare For a President to Get to Nominate Three Justices? Actually, no. It's not that rare. Since 1869, the year Congress increased the number of justices to nine, 12 of the 24 presidents preceding Obama successfully chose at least three members of the Supreme Court. The most recent president to get three justices on the high court was Ronald Reagan, from 1981 through 1988. In fact, one of those nominees, Justice Anthony Kennedy, was confirmed in a presidential-election year, 1988.
and if they happen with in the first term we hold senate by a thin margin they are likely to be appointed with very little if any chance for dems to attempt to pull a mconnel like move
