Huawei Technologies CFO arrested in Canada, accused of violating Iran sanctions

TORONTO – Canadian authorities in Vancouver have arrested Huawei Technologies Co.’s chief financial officer at the request of the U.S. government for alleged violations of Iranian sanctions, the latest move by Washington to crack down on the Chinese cellular-technology giant.

A spokesman for Canada’s justice department said Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Vancouver on Dec. 1 and is sought for extradition by the U.S. A bail hearing has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, according to the spokesman. Ms. Meng, the daughter of Huawei’s founder, Ren Zhengfei, serves as the company’s CFO and deputy chairwoman.

In 2007, Ms. Meng served as a board secretary for a Huawei holding company that owned Skycom Tech, a Hong Kong-based company with business in Iran and employees who said they worked for “Huawei-Skycom,” according to a person familiar with the matter.

U.S. authorities have suspected Huawei’s alleged involvement in Iranian sanctions violations since at least 2016, when the U.S. investigated ZTE Corp., Huawei’s smaller Chinese rival, over similar violations. The Commerce Department released internal ZTE documents that showed the company studied how a rival identified only as “F7” had conducted similar business.

Meng Wanzhou (pictured, also known as Sabrina Meng) serves as Huawei’s deputy chair and chief financial officer. She is the daughter of Ren Zhengfei a former officer in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, who established the company in 1988 and has since amassed a personal fortune estimated at $3.5 billion. The Hill is reporting there are classified emails that confirm this process:

1. The FBI's leak specialist, Director JAMES COMEY, gave false information to Yahoo News about Carter Page.

2. Based on the info "leaked" from Comey, Yahoo News published a story about possible connections to the Russia, like this one:

3. The FBI used the Yahoo News article, combined with the full-of-lies "Steele Dossier", as evidence to secure FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, including Carter Page.

4. After the FISA warrants were obtained, the FBI fired Christopher Steel.

I'd like to know if the FISA court was duped...or were they complicit in helping the FBI violate several laws?

Great post!! I remember that tragedy well. It wasn't an 'accident' and it was actually 17 SEALs that died in the crash. The other 5 Navy were Warfare support personnel plus several Army & Air Force.

Obviously I’m not a part of Q or high enough up for them to trust, but this plan makes sense. If I had to take back my country and I had the access that they have militarily then I’d do what they are doing. This is a long term military op to essential subdue a foreign govt(s) that has/have parasitically attacked the nation that the military protects. That is an act of war. That is treason. The PAIN has already begun. Justice isn’t easy. Hard fought. Loses heavy and battles won. PAIN will continue until as many threats can be eliminated. There was some information being passed around at the funeral today which made some people SCARED and others ANGRY.

Take a look at JEB BUSH's face/reaction after his sister-in-law (Laura Bush) briefly shows him something she wrote (or is being held) on the front of the funeral program.

That’s the thing so many are simply not getting.
Some see Trump as being the mastermind Jedi Saint Emperor who concocted this elaborate plan.
Some seem him as the douchebag that he is.
Some see him as simply what the media tells them.
Some have every educated and thought out reasons for disliking him for any sort of reason.

Point is that he is a part of the plan whether he is a nice guy or a a hole. Whether he does things politically against what some prefer or not.

He’s not FBI
He’s not Military
He’s not ICE
He’s not CBP
He’s not Intel
He’s just a man who holds a position of strategic importance to implement vital actions to achieve the desired outcome of the op.
