Mom going for surgery.

Apparently it's a thyroid surgery, and no big deal.

But that hardly appeases me.

I said I'm not staying sober.

Take care of kitty-cat, and don't burn the house down.

I think I'll manage that.

Luckily got some days off.

But flip this always stresses me.

You could get an unexpected call when you are finally cracking it with a career after years of frustration and planning to come back home the long way round to help.

Take comfort in the fact that you are at least getting the information and you have a good relationship with her by the sounds of it, she will be fine mate. Best wishes to you both

It is stressful, but she will be fine and in good hands. Kitty will sit with you and try to keep you calm. Now don't burn the house down.

Hey, don't worry about it man. Today, everybody goes through surgeries and medical procedures, for one reason or other. She'll be 100% fine.

Look at the US President's wife, that should tell you there is hope for a happy day coming for you. Bless is the son that is proud of his mother.

Good luck and best wishes I had to have my whole thyroid removed for a 2.3” tumor that turned out to be cancerous I hope that the reason for your surgery isn’t nearly as bad and that you heal quickly. Prepare to look like someone tried to slit your throat (and suceeded). Prayers for you and your mom

I'm the responsible daughter, so I get to sit through every medical procedure one of my parents has with the other one these days. Dad is getting his hip done this December in fact. So ... of to the clinic with me! Wee!

We'll get through these things. We always do. It's what loving sons and daughters do for our folks, right?

Keep cool halfold, my mother-in-law had the op and my missus had the op, it really is routine. Just treasure her when she gets out and look after her.
