Wikileaks Honduras: State Dept. Busted on Support of Coup
By July 24, 2009, the U.S. government was totally clear about the basic facts of what took place in Honduras on June 28, 2009. The U.S. embassy in Tegucigalpa sent a cable to Washington with subject: "Open and Shut: The Case of the Honduran Coup," asserting that "there is no doubt" that the events of June 28 "constituted an illegal and unconstitutional coup." The Embassy listed arguments being made by supporters of the coup to claim its legality, and dismissed them thus: "none ... has any substantive validity under the Honduran constitution." The Honduran military clearly had no legal authority to remove President Zelaya from office or from Honduras, the Embassy said, and their action - the Embassy described it as an "abduction" and "kidnapping" - was clearly unconstitutional.

Yesterday there was an election in Haiti. This election was funded by the U.S., despite the fact that major parties were excluded from participation by the government's electoral council, a fact that Republican and Democratic Members of Congress, in addition to NGOs, complained about without result. The Washington Post reports that the election ended with "nearly all the major candidates calling for the results to be tossed out amid 'massive fraud.'": "12 of the 19 candidates on Sunday's ballot appeared together at a raucous afternoon news conference to accuse the government of President Rene Preval of trying to steal the election and install his chosen candidate, Jude Celestin."
Yesterday's election in Haiti had the fingerprints of the U.S. government all over it. It was funded by the U.S. "Security" for the election was purportedly provided by UN troops, paid for by the U.S. And the crucial historical context of the election was the 2004 coup that deposed democratically elected President Jean Bertrand Aristide, a coup engineered by the U.S. with years of economic destruction clearly intended to topple the elected government.
Clinton Betrayed Democracy, Economic Justice, and Women and Children in Honduras ]
Given information that has been revealed since 2009, we now know a lot more about the US support for the 2009 military coup. Hillary Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time, didn't necessarily push the button that started it, but she was the Obama administration's most ardent advocate of keeping the military in power and preventing Zelaya from returning as a democratically elected leader.
The repercussions to Honduras of Clinton siding with the military have led to it becoming one of the most corrupt and violence-ridden nations in the world. They also reveal the deep contradiction between Clinton's espousal of democracy and the rights of women and children, and her neoliberal realpolitik interest in protecting the markets and profits of US-based corporations.
...
Clinton may be out of office now, but she still vigorously defends her policy that guaranteed Zelaya would not be restored to his duly elected role -- and therefore would not continue his reforms on behalf of the working poor and peasants.
Hillary Clinton’s Link to a Nasty Piece of Work in Honduras
By supporting the June 28, 2009 coup d’état in Honduras when she was secretary of state, Clinton helped create the dire conditions that caused many of these children to flee. And the assassination of legendary Honduran human rights leader Berta Cáceres earlier this month can be traced indirectly to Clinton’s policies.

Pine, who has worked for many years in Honduras, told Dennis Bernstein of KPFA radio in 2014 that the military forces that carried out the coup were trained at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (formerly called the U.S. Army School of the Americas) in Fort Benning, Ga. Although the coup was supported by the United States, it was opposed by the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS). The U.N. and the OAS labeled President Manuel Zelaya’s ouster a military coup.
“Hillary Clinton was probably the most important actor in supporting the coup [against the democratically elected Zelaya] in Honduras,” Pine noted. It took the United States two months to even admit that Honduras had suffered a coup, and it never did admit it was a military coup. That is, most likely, because the Foreign Assistance Act prohibits the U.S. from aiding a country “whose duly elected head of government is deposed by military coup or decree.”
he open borders organization Pueblo Sin Fronteras distributed this press release to the governments of Central America, Mexico, and the United States of America. In the letter, Pueblo Sin Fronteras Demands that the United States government end the deportation of illegal immigrants and alleges that those illegally crossing the border into the United States be treated as “citizens.” Pueblo Sin Fronteras is the organization primarily responsible for the caravan of illegal migrants moving up through Mexico with the intentions of challenging the sovereignty of the United States and demanding immediate entry into the lower 48 states.
The demands of Pueblo Sin Fronteras echo the en vogue rhetoric over the past several months demanding voting rights and recognition of citizenship for persons illegally in the United States. This current reflexive argumentation mirrors the policies of George Soros’ Open Society Foundations and is one of the tenets of the concept of Open Societies. As stated in the home page of Sovereign Nations, the concept of Open Societies differs from Sovereign Nations in that they favor a globalist model where the sovereignty of nations must be subordinated to international law and global institutions. sovereignnations.com...
BuzzFeed News sent photographer Luc Forsyth to cover the huge caravan of Central Americans traveling to the United States this spring. Forsyth and reporter Adolfo Flores accompanied the group from the southern border of Mexico and Honduras to Tijuana over the course of 32 days. We spoke with Forsyth about his experience in an interview that has been condensed and edited for clarity. www.buzzfeednews.com...

News website al-Jazeera has decided it will not use migrant and "will instead, where appropriate, say refugee". An online editor for the network wrote: "It has evolved from its dictionary definitions into a tool that dehumanises and distances, a blunt pejorative." A Washington Post piece asked if it was time to ditch the word. www.bbc.com...
Machine Guns, Bloody Lipstick, Google Secret Agents & Dirty Dossiers: The Big Story under the radar
ENTER GOOGLE
Google was essentially a CIA NSA NSF NASA DARPA startup from the beginning. Note the that hodgepodge of 'alphabet agencies' involved in their formation when noting in 2015 they changed their official company name to "Alphabet Inc." (around the same time they dropped their "Don't Be Evil" corporate slogan no less).
When Obama got in in 2008, well Google helped him. Eric Schmidt, Google CEO was the most visible during the campaign, and was famously so deep inside the Obama White House from the start one could almost call him part of Obama's cabinet.
Hillary's "senior advisor", Jared Cohen, left the State Dept. to join Google in 2010. Went to "run" Google's "Ideas" Department, today known as "Google Jigsaw". Jigsaw's description today opens up with "We’re an incubator within Alphabet that builds technology to tackle some of the toughest global security challenges facing the world today...". Sounds almost like a DOD outreach division so far. Now note that Jigsaw is in charge of Google's "fake news" counter front, which has DOD written all over it.
BEGIN THE ARAB SPRING
On January 25, 2011, Egyptian Google engineer Wael Ghonim created the Facebook page which triggered the Arab Spring. The story can be seen, along with all the back story of Syria & Libya, at about 2:06:48 in the documentary, HyperNormalisation. In 2011 he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his role. In a later interview, when responding to the children that died as a result, you can see him break down "crying" (although no tears came out maybe he has broken tear ducts):
Now before we get too far from Google, note the WikiLeaks revelation how in July 2012, as the Syrian Rebellion wasn't panning out so well, Jared Cohen emailed Hillary's team with news on the "Defection Tracker" mapping tool they had developed to help foment the uprising. "Our logic behind this is that while many people are tracking the atrocities, nobody is visually tracking and mapping the defections, which we believe are important in encouraging more to defect and giving confidence to the opposition", Cohen said.
Turns out he was just the right man for Eric Schmidt's new division, then called the "Think / Do Tank", as Cohen already had experience in the foreign government subversion business.
'Cohen worked as a member of the secretary of state's policy planning staff from 2006 to 2010, when he was hired to lead Google Ideas, but was tied to using social media to incite uprisings even before he left the department. He once reportedly asked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to hold off of conducting system maintenance that officials believed could have impeded a brief 2009 uprising in Iran, and Julian Assange, who founded the secret-leaking website WikiLeaks, has for years referred to Cohen as Google's "director of regime change."'

What's Al Qaeda doing working with the CIA the same year we supposedly just killed their messiah? Other happenings in December is that's when US forces had been completely pulled out of Iraq, leaving a vacuum that immediately was filled by ISIS (as Obama had been warned would happen).
In October 2011 Quaddafi gets killed in Libya via bayonet rectal-ectomy. Hillary Clinton says quote "We came, we saw, he died, hahaha!."
In February 2012 reports of US, Turkey & Jordan training Syrian rebels was in the open. In April, Qatar Paid $1 Million for Five Minutes With Bill Clinton while Hillary was Secretary of State. Then in June 2012, "CIA Said to Aid in Steering Arms to Syrian Opposition", operating from Turkey, by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. By Summer 2012, Hillary Clinton was on the open circuit been openly intent on arming the Syrian rebels.

This the first well thought out conspiracy I've read in a long time. The scary part isn't that it's just possible but that we missed all the warnings even as it continues to plays out right in front of us. Star and flag.
Son Of The Former President Of Honduras Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison For Conspiring To Import Cocaine Into The United States
Joon H. Kim, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that FABIO PORFIRIO LOBO was sentenced to 288 months in prison for conspiring to import coc aine into the United States. LOBO pled guilty on May 16, 2016, before U.S. District Judge Lorna G. Schofield, who imposed today’s sentence. LOBO’s father, Porfirio Lobo, served as president of Honduras between 2010 and 2014. Acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said: “By his own admission, Fabio Lobo conspired to import huge quantities of coc aine into the U.S. To assist traffickers and enrich himself, Lobo used his father’s position and his own connections to bring drug traffickers together with corrupt police and government officials. Now, Fabio Lobo has been sentenced to the substantial prison term his crimes merit.”
Top U.S.-Backed Honduran Security Minister Is Running Drugs, According to Court Testimony
The Honduran minister of security, who was intimately involved in solidifying the 2009 coup, is tied up in drug trafficking, according to testimony from a Mexican drug-trafficker-turned-DEA-informant in U.S. court. In November 2016, as the world’s attention was fixated on the surprise election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, two nephews of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro were found guilty on drug trafficking charges. The conviction was another feather in the cap of U.S. prosecutors who have been targeting the Venezuelan government with corruption and drug trafficking investigations. But in the South Florida courtroom, the testimony of José Santos Peña also implicated Julián Pacheco Tinoco, a former Honduran military official with long ties to the U.S. security apparatus.
Organized crime is not a separate activity but rather woven into the very fabric of Honduras’s kleptocracy
The year 2014 was when bulk shipments to the United States of another commodity began, both from and through Honduras: unaccompanied minors fleeing Central America.391 So lucrative is the trade that it is difficult to imagine well-established trafficking rings passing it up. Other obvious forms of contraband that may be smuggled through Honduras include sex workers, weapons, and counterfeit consumer goods. Further research is required to ascertain whether the networks organizing these varieties of trade overlap with drug-trafficking networks and/or key elements of Honduras’s kleptocracy.

Honduran Democracy Still in Crisis 7 Years After Coup
Seven years after the U.S.-backed coup in Honduras, the Central American country’s democracy is still in crisis, epitomized perhaps most clearly by the recent murder of internationally-renowned environmental leader Berta Caceres. Assassinated after years of resisting unwanted corporate projects on Indigenous land and an onslaught of neoliberal policies and government repression in the wake of the coup, Caceres has brought global attention to the the fatal criminalization of political dissenters—with both U.S. funding and near total impunity—and grave human rights crisis in post-coup Honduras.
In the early hours of June 28, 2009, a military coup ousted democratically elected President Manuel Zelaya, flying him to exile in Costa Rica. Zelaya had planned to hold a non-binding poll on whether to hold a referendum in the upcoming election on convening a constituent assembly to rewrite the Honduran constitution.
Zelaya, of the Liberal Party, showed a progressive turn during his presidency by raising the minimum wage, negotiating land deals with campesino movements, and joining the Venezuelan-led regional energy alternative ALBA, in addition to opening the conversation on a constituent assembly.
Coup-backers accused Zelaya of attempting to manipulate the Honduran constitution to extend his presidency, which was limited to one term in Honduras before a Supreme Court ruling last year changed the wording in the constitution. Despite allegations that Zelaya was trying to strong-arm his way into staying in power—a key justification for the coup—the non-binding poll would not have changed the fact that he was barred from running for reelection in November 2009 race.
The coup against Zelaya was widely condemned by governments across Latin America, the European Union, the Organization of American States and other regional blocs.
In contrast, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted in her autobiography “Hard Choices” that she used her power to stir the crisis into a favorable outcome for the U.S., even if it meant forgetting about democracy. “We strategized on a plan to restore order in Honduras and ensure that free and fair elections could be held quickly and legitimately, which would render the question of Zelaya moot,” she wrote in her book. The “free and fair” elections that Clinton envisioned included a media blackout and targeted assassinations of anti-coup leaders ahead of the polls. No international institutions monitored the elections.

You start by helping me make it front page, then set about reposting it far and wide. In 2006 this thing would have been reposted dozens of times across the Internet by now just a couple days in.
