Nothing like creating extra work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Anything from India will be opened, inspected and illegal pharmaceuticals seized.

That is the bigger question in my mind, land of the free my arse.

Land of the free for some people to feel the need to push their ideology on you. Their perfect America is when you're only aloud to do what they want you to do.

I believe in liberty. Do what you want as long as you don't interfere with me to do the same.

I could never be a Republican, because many are obsessed with what other people do with their bodies. The extremes are anti weed, anti women's health, call women who have premarital sex whores. They say abortion is murder but love pointless wars that kill.

That is the extremes, most are not, but most of the politicians try to appease the extremes too.

Most are moderates and wiggle on a lot of those issues.

Your republicans seem more rabid than our right wing conservatives, certainly over abortion, are right wing US folk of Irish descent? They restrict it so their women come to the UK to get it free on UK taxpayers penny. I don't mind my taxes going on that, must be awful for Irish women who have to make the trip.

Ok...

Why not just keep letting the women's clinics prescribe and oversee the process? Why drive women to foreign companies for unsafe remedies?

It's clear that nobody here can provide the answer you seek. Write to your local congress.

Write effective letters to congress.

I always thought that they should be called un-planned parenthood.
It's more accurate

They distribute birth control, they teach about birth control, they do keep many teens from giving birth.

What could go wrong, ATS? What could go wrong?

Less unwanted children.

Less babies having babies.

Less broken f-ed up families on welfare.

More choice and empowerment given to women and their bodies.

Can we also lengthen the time one could abort, maybe until 18 years. Time to clean house

Ill say this there are some major risks involved with this medication. Any woman who is considering it use should be under a doctors care in case they need to take you to a hospital for treatment. For one you need to make sure its not an ectopic pregnancy not to mention can cause severe bleeding so anyone with anaemia needs to avoid it. It can also cause heart attacks in patients with heart disease. So a physical is a must to make sure you remain safe.

Sounds like warnings from most medicines. Ever read the warnings on birth control pills?

I'm always curious in these abortion debates -- are you a man or a woman?

I, as a woman, want 100% the right of choice and access to this pill.

Me too. It's a "no brainer". But, Republicans are set on making its access, through clever "trap Laws", harder and harder, up to impossible in some states, for women to legally access these pills through clinics and doctors' offices. 37 states have made it illegal for women to administer the pills themselves, and nowhere in the US are these pills available over the counter, without a doctor's script.

So as more clinics close, and more state and federal Title X restrictions are applied to existing clinic and Dr's offices, I predict more and more women will turn to mail order solutions, which will have the side effect, in many states, of effectively criminalize using the pills, therefore criminalizing abortion, and many women will go to jail and many will die from misuse. Leaving us right back where we were pre Roe V Wade.

Beware of Dominionism. It's no joke.

Too many women still believe they are meant to be subservient to men.

Women blocking women from free choice is extremely sad.

Even if Roe Vs. Wade is overturned - that is not going to stop women from trying to end their pregnancy.

never going to be over turned

Can you imagine back alley abortions starting again? It will. If Roe Vs. Wade is overturned.

Can you imagine if this was ever really true...Back in the day it was still doctors, not back allies with coat hangers...lol

An interesting development. As lawmakers make it harder and harder for women to access early, safe, physician supervised chemical abortions....

Women Who Face Prosecution for Home Abortions Finally Have a Number to Call
“Folks need to know there are lawyers who respect their dignity and will back them up.”
www.motherjones.com...

That’s where the SIA Legal Team comes in. The team consists of a group of eight staffers with expertise in the legal realm of self-induced abortion. On Tuesday, the group launched a hotline people can call for legal assistance if they are facing arrest or prosecution related to the termination of a pregnancy outside a clinical setting.

In fact, the SIA team has identified more than 40 different types of laws that have been or could be used to prosecute women and anyone who helps them self-manage an abortion. While just seven states explicitly outlaw self-induced abortion, others rely on laws against “abusing a corpse,” practicing medicine without a license, and possession of a controlled substance. These laws were not written with abortion in mind, but prosecutors have been testing them. In 2014, a mother was sentenced to up to 18 months behind bars because she procured abortion-inducing drugs for her daughter, a minor who wanted to end her pregnancy.

Criminalized abortions coming to middle America...sooner than you think!
