Having previously been unaware of The Willie MacRae story I've got to say that after reading up on it there seems to be enough to justify a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Even a read of his Wikipedia page should alert people to the misgivings surrounding the affair.

Why this case has not garnered greater publicity is beyond me.
There have been attempts to raise the profile but it seems MSM won't go anywhere near the story.

It would even be good to see a well respected member of ATS who can do the story justice start a thread on the case.

It would be good to see a thread by a respected member, if they'll pull their finger out and get on with it.

I'm quite pleased with the gun revelation. Don't know why nobody else seems to have drawn attention to it. His gun sounds like the rarer model with the rounded butt, presumably working. The one they used was possibly the nearest they could get, maybe having had only a partial view of it in his drawer.
