Observatories being shut down with janitor-watching-porn coverstory.
Water being stockpiled.
Presidential Alert being tested nationwide.
TV, radio, sat, and cellular services suspended for hours on end now daily with 'Service outage due to solar interference' messages across the board.

What's really going on, and what's next, the power grid going down and communities descending into chaos?

Good ol' doom porn. Something most of us here can find common ground on.

The world does feel like a powder keg in almost every arena. Almost of biblical proprtion one might say.

I hope what your hinting at never happens, the world would never be the same.

A giant north-south gash in the sun’s corona is bleeding high-speed solar particles Earth’s way. They’re expected to arrive beginning tomorrow afternoon (Central time) and produce a moderate G2 geomagnetic storm

Moderate G2 storm, only?

Sigh of relief, for now..

I dunno, seeing the Aurora all the way down here wouldn't be so bad.

We have become far too dependent upon radio waves and electronic technology.

this is what it is, is it?

I've had mobile phone internet problems for a week. Not sure if it's been going on for longer as i only use my home PC, just since las week, i wanted to use my mobile internet and I keep getting cut off. I can get it for about a minute and then it goes...

Sucks right now actually coz I needed it for something.

But anyway, you know what else? I'm getting real fed up of the Internet. Seems like i've been chatting on it for decades!

Or I should say 'fed up with social media sites like fb'.

I'm taking a very long break from it.

Where were these "global" service outages? Doesn't seem to have made it to my area of the globe.
