Just had a thought/prediction: Possible, but NEVER want to see:

A-Team Remake, with all women.

I wouldn't put it passed the morons in Hollywood.

I've alerted the mods.

You've gone too far.

Tom Baker is my Dr. Who.

Over the long history of Dr. Who, there have been some good incarnations, but some lousy ones too IMO.

The good Dr. always had a hot groupie chick to hang with, I wonder if this new Dr. Who is a lesbian or bi-sexual, then there could be two hotties!

I'll tell you a story of mine sometime about trying to remove a pregnant, black female... Though none of those had anything to do with her firing... I mentally thought of her as my trifecta ...

They should've remade 'Murphy Brown' as a dude.

Ah. Point well taken.

But can you see Captain Kirk, or Jean Luc Picard as women?

I can. But not Murphy Brown.

Thanks for the reminder DB

I used to watch the show with my dad (he would get my dog singing with the intro.. heh..). It was one of our "things."

When he passed, I couldn't finish out last season without him. But I think I'm ready to catch up now. Forgot all about it til your thread.

Don't care about the gender of the lead, even if it reeks of pandering.

I was willing to give this show a shot until I saw this article.

Some of The Doctor’s greatest enemies in Season 11 might be sexism, chauvinism, and misogyny so it’s pretty awesome that , three best friends and companions backing her up on her travels — not that she even needs them. BBC released a second full trailer for Doctor Who Season 11 on Thursday morning, and it looks like the season won’t shy away from addressing sexism across time and space. The trailer skips around quite a bit to places both alien and terrestrial. “I’m the Doctor!” Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor says. “When people need help, I never refuse.”

www.inverse.com...

I heard anti-sjws predicting this from the start. I thought they were over reacting. It seems they were right.

You'll probably come to realize most predictions from that ballpark of people were right. That's what I've been finding anyways as time goes by.

I'm a fan of the writing. I just hope it stays "edgy".

I'm assuming she will get a beefcake side-kick. I hope he's not too stupid or gay.

Nah...they tried that. Janeway was a bust, with the exception of a few decent episodes. She is much better in OITNB.

The dynamics are different, between men leadership and woman leadership. We will figure it out though.

I really don't care, but what really peeves me is they made daleks fly, now i can't use the joke that the daleks mortal enemy should be a flight of stairs.

I can't wait for the next doctor, a robot driving instructor whose best friend is a talking pie-dammit Simpsons you beat me to it.

Tom Baker, his character was practical, young, knowledgeable and chilled out with the line "Jelly baby?" - Like a research lab director . Same with Romana and Leyla. With the other doctors, one was a cricket player, another seemed to come from children's TV with a yellow jacket and a duck umbrella.

Just watched it and it didn't have that same Dr.Who feel AND they layered the PC sjw virtue signalling on thick. At the end where they list upcoming actors (not characters) 80% were indian, it wouldn't normally be a problem but it almost seems like some alien race did some ethnic cleansing between last season and this one. Just like it would be a problem if Black Panther 2 was 80% white people!

Sure, diversity is good, but it shouldn't be some obsessed agenda, or "politically correct" construct, or, "mandatory" rule of law with fk'ing everything.

LIBERALS: "OMG, I didn't notice any Asian people in that Chrysler commercial! Let's make the next 500 commercials featuring Asian people!" ...It's obviously comical and PREDICTABLE at this point.

Yeah, sadly that does seem to be the case. I would rather them be proven wrong, and be pleasantly surprised. Plus, this growing trend of putting far leftist propaganda a head of good story writing, and characterization is a bit concerning. It seems to be infecting all forms of everything. Has comics gate been discussed on ATS? It's an interesting topic.
