Anyone watched God Friended Me ?

God Friended Me. I saw the preview trailers, and at first was meh, but then thought it could be interesting. Turns out, it's not exactly too bad. For a pilot, anyway.

I was worried it would be a religious fest, espousing the merits of god, and all that.

Where it goes after the pilot, remains to be seen, but I actually enjoyed that episode. It was a setup with the promotional clips, as the show didn't follow what they hinted at, as such, but still.. as an atheist, I can suspend my disbelief for such things.

Heck, I do the same for preacher, another great show, albeit vastly different. Yet still has god as a man in a dog suit parading around enjoying submissive porn action.. lol

I'll be waiting for episode 2 of this, and at the very least it is something different.

And hey, it revolves around facebook so far.. the most insidious and deleterious place that our carnal kind has ever witnessed, worse than any sodom and gomorrah. Where else to find god, hey?? ~~

Nope. They want to have their cake and eat it too to get ratings. Grow some balls and if you are not going to be religious use something other than God. They want to use God to get religious people, and then want to make it as non religious as possible and not Godly at all to get everyone else.

I cant suspend my disbelief enough to even entertain the thought that God would use facebook.

This is the first I've heard of it, but it sounds like it could be interesting.

I don't know.. it is absolutely in control of the world. The stragglers and late takers who refuse to embrace it, and those who have turned their eyes from the false idols, don't count.

And to the guy complaining I am ranting, I am talking about a TV show, you are talking about it not following religion properly therefore it must be damned. go figure.

I thought it was a good little foray into the absurd. And could go either way, in terms of what this 'god' is.

The show I like but in the first episode if the main character didn't follow Gods hint then there would never be a need for a doctor at the end in the first place... right? idk God should have just helped on his own. lol
