More than nine years later, a night in Las Vegas is at the center of a sexual assault case involving one of the world's preeminent athletes.
According to a lawsuit filed in Nevada, Portugal and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman in a penthouse at the Palms Casino Resort in June 2009. Kathryn Mayorga, who is now 34, asserts that Ronaldo raped her, with explosive and detailed allegations being published last week in the German publication Der Spiegel.
Rape Allegations vs. Cristiano Ronaldo
This one looks very, very bad. She actually reported and also went to the hospital so there is some evidence. Happened in 2009 and she got a deal for $375,000, but it seems that she's reopening the case.
After allegedly committing anal rape on Mayorga, Ronaldo permitted her to leave the bedroom and told her that he was sorry. Ronaldo, as Mayorga remembers it, assured her that he normally acts like a gentleman, but that in this instance he had failed to live up to that standard.
Hours later, Mayorga was hospitalized for trauma from a sexual assault. Her complaint contends that the medical exam included photographic evidence confirming Mayorga’s sodomization and anal contusions. Mayorga says that a nurse at the hospital curiously discouraged her from implicating Ronaldo to the authorities. If Mayorga did so, the nurse admonished, the public would portray Mayorga as a woman who was attempting to extort money through false accusations.
I can't understand why a guy like Cristiano Ronaldo, with all those women crazy for him around the world, needs to do that. His career could get destroyed now.
Horrible that he did that to her.
This appears to be about money to me now.
Ronaldo at the time wasnt making anything close to what he is now.
By reopening this, she will likely easily get the $375k paid back and probably get a few million out of it.

In 2009, Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid, in a WORLD RECORD transfer
Holy crap! Euro soccer sounds almost slavery-ish.

That is just wrong!
In 2009, Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid, in a WORLD RECORD transfer, he was allready the biggest star in premier league, playing for Man United, and was properly one of the world best paid soccer players allready, before the move to Real Madrid - the guy was RICH!!! no doubt about that...

Something seems strange to me here in the comments from the nurse, but it's possible I'm just too damn old school anymore. Is soccer really a thing in the US now? The nurse claims "Mayorga says that a nurse at the hospital curiously discouraged her from implicating Ronaldo to the authorities. If Mayorga did so, the nurse admonished, the public would portray Mayorga as a woman who was attempting to extort money through false accusations." which seems to be a weird position for an American to take... I'm speaking as someone who has absolutely no flipping clue WTF "Christiano Ronaldo" is and actually thought this was an accusation against a woman when I opened this link... dude owns a woman's name.

Both happened in the same month. I assume he didnt get the 80MM he was sold for right away and wasn't making anywhere near that before it.

The US is well behind Germany, Sweden, Israel, and Austria in lawsuits per capita and it looks like most of Europe is close behind the US.

I really don't want this to be true because I am such a big fan of his but it doesn't look good for him.
Seems like they had made a settlement before for her to keep quiet which I think speaks volumes to his guilt.
I can see how it could happen, I can see how he might ask to pop it in the pooper and she says no, he does it anyway....its rape, no means no and thats it, consenting to vaginal intercourse is not consent to anything else and he should have respected that.
It could have just been one of the those things, drunk, in the throws of passion, wild sex, lets do this!!! and....yeah its still rape.

Saw this yesterday, that's some serious allegations there.
I find it hard to believe he'll face any punishments from this.
IMHO the girl should've accused him when it happened, and not taking some money and waiting for it to end to accuse him again.

Would he have paid her off...... If there was NO TRUTH in her accusations

Maybe he wanted to end the process already. He has plenty of money to just give it away to strangers.
And I didn't said she was lying. I believe in her. I just don't think he'll be punished.

To all the degenerates who have failed to understand trauma response from a psychological perspective,
I no longer have any patience for any of you. If any one of you dares suggest that you are a man, rather than merely male I will tell you your fortune, and you had better suck it up, because you backward, regressive worms deserve it.
Assaults of this nature are NOT things that a victim can just "Buck up and report right away". Going through a legal proceeding immediately after going through a trauma of that nature, is the psychological equivalent of having your stomach sliced open with a knife, and then showing a copper the damage, by pulling back the rent flesh, and showing the officer your internal organs. Expecting this is inhuman and unrealistic, whether you accept that it is or not.
Quit expressing your absolute ignorance of the fragility of the human mind, and expecting it to fly with reasonable people, you complete cretins. Damned well evolve already.
