I was at a spring break party in the Caribbean and there must have been 300+ naked people (it was spontaneous) who all "exposed themselves" to each other dancing on stage at a party. Do I have a case against all of them for "sexual assault"? I even have pictures and video of a lot of it, so my case should be air tight!
I wonder how many people would be disqualified from "society" if what they did as a freshman at college, or the first year out of high school - elsewhere, were held against them 35-50 years later.

So know we know why they wanted to drag this out.....the democrats had an army of PI's out there trying to dig up dirt.
Correct. They are doing to Trump's nomination what the Republicans did to Obama's... running out the clock to the election. Choosing Kavanaugh was a huge mistake. The Democrats will have no problem smearing a white guy. If Trump wasn't such a racist misogynist, he would have realized that nominating a woman or a minority would have put the Democrats on the wrong foot. Oh well.

How about the right person for the job instead of race and gender?

Isnt it time to just say NEXT... This guy is flawed. Time to move on. No one has anything invested in this guy and he's not the last possible candidate for the position.

The guy has had a highly respected career for decades. They have so little dirt they had to find people from the 80s to smear him.
If not him who? They'll do anything to stop a republican nomination.

Good lord, I bet someone even inadvertently bumped up against someone else and scarred them for life too. If I was a therapist, it would only take me 6 or 7 days and enough money from the right political donors to get you to see it my way on that too.

5. Ramirez contacted her former classmates, asking about the incident, and admitted she was not sure that Kavanaugh was the male who exposed himself.
The Times' report states:
Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.

Heard someone on Fox News say this morning that these allegations don't have to be true only to be deemed "credible" by someone on the committee and at least one democrat on the committee has already said they are credible.
So, that means you really could destroy a person with a lie in this country.
Unbelievable?
There was a time when people were burned alive for being accused of witchcraft based on lies to which they were tortured into confessing to.
Maybe someday we will go back to something like that when all is said and done here?

It is sad that I have to start my post with this declaimer: I am not a lib and think brett would make a good judge.
The guy has had a highly respected career for decades
Irrelevant.
The women making the accusations have had respectable careers as well.
john wayne gacy was a nice man that sold ice cream to kids. Bernie madoff was very respected in his field. Can't judge a person by the job they do. We all have secrets.
I think you understand this.
After all you are not taking the careers of the women into account when you decided they were lying.
If careers mattered you would give the women the benefit of doubt.
