I could not agree more. Threads like that one were what had me checking back here throughout the years. I'm sure most of us could probably agree that most of the political stuff could go but you have to take the good with the bad. This has always been one of my go to sites for any kind of breaking news, especially when it may involve an odd twist and also when I am just looking for a new subject to begin looking into. Hopefully I can now be the one that helps others that come here looking for answers or ideas like I used to.

Officially, I think the story has ended. As for a conclusion, I'm not really buying the official story.

According to the official narrative, FBI is randomly scanning IPs and sites affiliated with child porn and notice one of the IPs moving tons of it is coming from the observatory. They contact the director, set up a designated IP to track things easier and sit back. Director notices odd laptop in empty offices, reports that he found possible CP on it. Laptop confiscated, FBI sits on thumbs
does investigation.Janitor becomes mad b/c someone stole his laptop and complains about "laxed security" and increases anger up to saying he fears "there's a serial killer out there that may come in and execute someone."
Observatory peeps become scared of janitor and evacuate observatory grounds without talking to FBI.
(They have not explained the whole Blackhawk, FBI agents there, people climbing all over the towers and antennas seen during evac) 4 days after evac, FBI serves search warrant on janitor's house and walks out with 5 more computers, 3 phones, iPad, like 16 thumb drives and numerous external HDs (basically a pawn shop).
A week later, operations resume at observatory, still claim "security threat" was reason for closing. 2 or 3 days later, FBI gives the CP cover story. Day after that they double down with cover story and have charged nobody nor made and arrests.

My feelings/beliefs on it are that if it were CP, why evacuate a couple dozen people and shut the place down? If they were that threatened, the FBI should've arrested the guy, they already had his porn machine which should've contained enough evidence to hold him awhile so that they could collect the other evidence. Why leave the local Sheriff in the dark about what is going on? Why be so coy and tight lipped about the operation? And plenty of other anomalous things that just don't fit their story. Plus, some details of the story have changed several times after holes began to be poked in it. I feel like there is more behind all of this and that it's probably an ugly mistake or didn't pan out into what they originally thought it was. The CP was found after the fact and became the perfect cover story OR it just became their cover story and no charges will ever come from this. Either way, that seems like the way this story is going to end. I just keep hoping something else will leak out so that we can get the truth even though the chance of it being anything exciting (ET's, seeing the sun is gonna explode, etc) is next to zero. I'd just like to know the real story.

That is my VERY condensed version of the story. There are plenty of bits that have been left out but that's the gist of the thread.

Thanks! Yes, the SCOTUS deal has definitely been kind of interesting. I'm curious to see what the next ploy will be to stop the confirmation. Don't know if anyone actually has a plan or if they are just going by the seat of their pants. If it's part of their plan, it's an intricate plan and I'm interested to see where it goes. The Senate, by itself, has turned into a soap opera and if it weren't the people running the country it'd be hilarious! Lol

That is exactly how I feel! It's such a romanticized thought and seems kind of silly but I feel like ATS is held to higher standards than the "other places" on the web. Being a part of the truth and a part of finding answers to the unanswerable is a big deal and has immense responsibility. It's a serious thing and maybe that's why I spent so long just observing. I can't help find that truth without participating and I shall shoulder my responsibility now. The more people we have working toward the same goal, the lighter the load becomes for the individual. I just want to do my part.

Why leave the local Sheriff in the dark about what is going on? Why be so coy and tight lipped about the operation? And plenty of other anomalous things that just don't fit their story. I think only the last sentence quoted could have revision, whereas before that you put questions and valid statements . If the basis of the official release is valid then your questions could be answered in that if they'd just received a whole bunch of clues , on a matter they'd normally take seriously,then they wont be telling the Sheriff much of anything , they're going to be tight lipped , and they might even release false , late of conflated information as a deliberate ploy to gain traction on other perpetrators . So you never know when it s the fbi . Another fact you included is that the janitor threatened something inappropriate on being rumbled and it s a well known fact for hunters of these sort that when it all comes on top for serious offenders of this type , they can lose their minds.

I don't disagree with your assessment and the conclusions you have drawn. I am not attempting to make any excuses but... Ok, yes I will. Lol! I was on my mobile while typing the synopsis earlier. I was doing my best to lay out the biggest information in a coherent and concise way and because of that I was a bit rushed and left quite a few minor details out. When the sum of these missing bits are pieced together, I feel like there is a good argument for a conspiracy up at Sunspot.

Could I argue it in court and win the case? Highly unlikely. Would I be able to grab an indictment from a Grand Jury with those other parts pieced together? I truthfully believe I could. The biggest issue really is "what exactly is it they are covering up or what is the actual conspiracy?"

That is the problem. There is no smoking gun that points to the actual reasoning behind it all. Maybe it is just my active imagination pulling me that direction or maybe it's that I really want it to be something bigger than it really is but I've stepped back several different times and done my best to look at the information using unbiased eyes. Every time I end up right back at the same place, there is more to this story. There is a chance that I could be wrong about it. I'd have no problem owning up to being wrong if that ends up being the case.

I do think, however, with the amount of time that has already passed and the very limited amount of information that surfaced during the ordeal that this story may never be able to be tied up with a pretty bow. It will probably be one of those stories where nothing is heard about it again. I mean, there were 3, maybe 4 news articles about the closure in the first 5 days and they came from 2 local sources. It wasn't until almost a week after the closure that the MSM picked it up and they immediately went to the "internet trolls believe it's aliens" narrative. As soon as I started seeing those stories, I knew that they weren't serious about getting to the bottom of the story and that it was likely there'd never be a truthful resolution for the entire situation. Like I said before, there are too many anomalies and conflicting bits of evidence for me to feel that the official story is the whole story. It is entirely possible that it is part of the story but there are still too many unanswered questions and problems with the official story for me to believe that it's the whole story.

I know that I basically just restated what I originally said but in long form and really didn't provide any additional evidence to support my argument but I wanted to attempt to word my argument a little better. Maybe I'll see if I can't put together a little presentation of evidence that might be able to illustrate why my stance is what it is and have you check it out. I've attempted to keep things as organized as possible throughout all of this so maybe I can actually toss something together fairly quick.
