Don't support this and don't agree with it. I don't want British cash going to Ukraine and I don't want our troops anywhere near it. They made thier own bed, let them lie in it.

I don't have any great love for Ukraine either but this is about letting Putin know there are lines you can't cross, we have sat back before and let him get away with things he shouldn't and he's now at the stage he thinks he can do what he wants and the West will do nothing.
We have nothing to fear, we (the UK) are considered the second most powerful country on earth and Putin will be aware of this, at least this time our power is being used for a good cause.

You really have no clue what goes on around you do you? Did you know the UN is accusing saudi Arabia of war crimes in yemen? You continually try to distract people with the look over here what they are doing. Sadly you don't even get that right.

Bottom line to prevent Ukraine from joining the EU they faked a civil war. They inserted little green men into the conflict. They faked a vote in crimea. Funny to get the vote they arrest half the politicians. Then when they get the referendum it only has 2 choices join Russia or declare independence. Everyone knew that Crimea couldn't make it on its own. And the option to stay with Ukraine wasn't offered.

Then the fact that somehow people were supposed to vote against Russia with armed Russian troops at the polls. And even better Russia decided all the troops from their base could vite as well. Russia is the only country that has taken another countries property since ww2. Russia is special in the fact that it has invaded 2 countries and kept their property.

Think about that no other nation has taken territory since ww2. Countries do not grab other nations property. In doing so that makes anyone boardering Russia nervous. Russia wonders why these countries want to join NATO if they want that to stop try diplomacy instead of green revolutions. Russia is a bigger threat than China because it has nukes and it ignores international law.Russia os far more likely to start a war than China.

And you have yet to acknowledge that Soros and US did a color revolution in Ukraine and installed a puppet government. That is a well proven fact.

Until you acknowledge that I consider you their puppet too.

Why don't you also acknowledge that Russia has invested billions into Crimea while, conversely, Ukraine slowly pillaged them. How about acknowledging over 50% of population there is Russian speaking. It hosts a military base and many Russian servicemen retire there with their families. So there actually is a substantial portion of the population that does naturally support Russia.

Acknowledge the above facts.

It is a fools errand to try to take Crimea back from Russia and Crimeans themselves do not want your "help".

You want to be an imperialist and stick your nose into everyone else's business. UK and US still sign massive arms deals with Saudia Arabia and it is US/UK ordnance that is being used to commit those war crimes on Yemen since you brought that up.

Seems there is a certain segment of US and UK populations that are willing accomplices to going to war on lies. Hope they at least have the stones to put on uniforms themselves and go do the dirty work that they so persistently push.

There's nothing to be gained from this but sabre rattling to pick a fight. If the elected Ukrainian govt wasn't overthrown by a mob in kiev the ethnic Russians in the east wouldn't have revolted backed by the Russian army. The Russians also wouldn't have nicked Crimea as there would have been no need to do so. This was ultimately about keeping NATO out of Crimea. The Russians aren't dumb, they know that's what the revolution ultimately meant.

However, these things occurred and neither will be undone without war to crush the Russian rebels and thier Russian backers in the east, and an invasion of Crimea to forcibly separate the Russians there from Russia.

As I've no interest in getting involved in any of this stupidity I don't see the point in giving the Ukrainians the idea we might. Or funding them so they try it themselves and another pointless bloodbath ensues.

You must obviously not be counting the pillaging of countries for cheap oil and resource deals at the expense of the welfare of the people. The United States policy is simple, try and buy out the currently elected leader, usually at the time when you've enforced economy crippling sanctions, if unsuccessful then the CIA 'jackals' are sent in to stir up dissent and if need be, assassinate the current leader, if that fails, then it's invasion time (Iraq being the best example of late), thus the corporations get their cheap deals. As you can see, the United States has taken a lot from many nations since WW2, and if you research enough, you'll find corporate/financial reasoning behind every single grubby, US (and friends) foreign policy:

Additionally, because I'm a good guy that likes to help out people, I'm going to assume you can read, regardless of your lack of understanding on global political events, there's a book you should check out called Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, should give you a better understanding of what it is the United States have taken from countries, and the methods they used in which to do it. And yeah, a lot of people have died in the process.

What about Indonesia/East Timor, Israel/Golan Heights just to name two examples of countries taking other countries territory since WWII.

US/coalition is ignoring international law bombing sovereign nations illegally. Russia was invited by the legitimate government of Syria.

You do not appear to be a native English speaker. This smells like the Internet Research Agency.

You counter nothing in the statements of fact I provided along with the resources I linked to back them up.
Again I would recommend reading this article as it is very in depth and balanced:
warontherocks.com...
I will tell you exactly what I am. I am a person who served and fought during Gulf War, Somlia and Haiti. I had skin in the game and I stand up for my brothers in arms who I don't like to see get thrown into stupid wars for Soros and corrupt deep state.

Are you telling us that you are American?

You countered nothing I said, you bring into question the messenger not the message which labels you a textbook disinfo agent.

Facts I have laid out:

Fact 1 - Ukraine fake revolution was the product of Soros and deepstate
www.zerohedge.com...[/ur l]
[url]https://www.globalresearch.ca/the-u-s-has-installed-a-neo-nazi-government-in-ukraine/5371554
www.globalresearch.ca...
Did you bother to read War on the rocks article about Georgia?
Article for the 3rd time:
warontherocks.com...
I bother to post for the 3rd time because it is that important for historical context.

Fact 2 - Western narrative on Crimea is false
www.globalresearch.ca...
www.globalresearch.ca...
www.stalkerzone.org...

Now I suggest you provide counter points and let the astute ATS community decide for themselves which position has more merit.

As for the point of this thread,
If the UK govenrment sends troops the citizens of the UK can either support that or rollover and take it. I would point out the irony in it though since a large portion of their population voted in favor of leaving the EU....

I have been questioning the context from which you are addressing us. I have not challenged your message because I don't care to get into that particular debate. But you kinda sound 'Amerikanski'...like a Slav who is unsuccessfully trying to pass oneself off as American. I note that you have not addressed that question.
Oh, and I would imagine that disinfo agents are sneaky. Hands-up, all you right wingers who have any doubts about my politics!
But have a good day, eh?

I'm American born and raised. Spent time in many places around the world including in your area for 3 months. You guys didn't get much snow this winter. Liked Green Sleeves, ORiely's, watched the superbowl at the fine establishment at Queen and New Gower. Got a good round of applause at Karaoke Kops for my rendition of Highway man, never bothered to get screeched because... well, why try to kiss a fish when there was enough women that like Americans to chase?

Food not particularly good up there, fruits and vegetables old by the time they get there. Some places cook a decent steak for too much $. I was up there because the local project team had no initiative FYI, seemed like a common problem up there. No shortage of potheads up there either. Wonder if there is a correlation....

In contrast, I don't doubt your authenticity...

Posting for the most part pro Putin fake or heavily biased 'news' sites doesn't help your credibility, why should anyone waste their time having to counter the nonsense printed in places like Zero Hedge or stalkerzone?

There is alot you and your friends have not heard. Plenty I have not heard about. They still happen though whether we believe it or not.

Its not like some internet guy paraphrasing here, that is the UK Defense Minister's own words, from his mouth.
