Annyoing ask me anything banner

Is there a way to dismiss the 'ask me anything' notification banner that continually comes up? I can understand the notice showing upon first log on after it's been posted, but is there a way to say, NO i'm not interested so that it will stop popping up?

I know that it eventually disappears, but then it pops right back up again when you click into a thread or back into recent.....

First notification should give you a chance to subscribe or dismiss and then be done.

Nope. It'll be there until the AMA is under way.
