Jeff Flake was accosted by some rabid protesters while trying to get on the elevator this morning.

One woman said she had been sexually assaulted as a child, and because of that she was standing with Dr. Ford and against Judge Kavanaugh. She reminded him that he, too, had children.

He could not close the door, and one of them was shouting, another was screeching, and he could not get away from them. He was cornered in the elevator and they would not allow him to close the door. He was trying to be calm and soft-spoken, but they were rather hostile.

This may have been what had him a bit shaken up.
