Well one thing is quite obvious: McCabe, Page, and Baker were serious about recording and pursuing removal.

I wouldn't take Baker's nor McCabe's assertion that it was Rosenstein's serious idea at face value just yet. They are directly in the hot seat and might be attempting to shift the blame and we know that McCabe is a proven notorious liar.

I'm not sticking up for Rod, but after a close reading of three articles (Solomon, Carter, FOX) I'm not convinced yet.

Great news that the rat ship is leaking though.

I think Trump is doing an Elizabeth I with Rosenstein by making him the Earl of Leicester.

Trump can have his head on a platter in a heartbeat, but the Earl now serves the king to avoid that fate.

John Solomon’s article in The Hill on Baker's recent testimony seems a little more nuanced than the others:

Baker told Congress last week that his boss — then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe — was dead serious about the idea of surreptitiously recording the 45th president and using the evidence to make the case that Trump should be removed from office, according to my sources.

Makes it sound more like McCabe’s idea than Rosenstein’s. And Rosenstein’s reported quote from the recent leak was. “What do you want me to do, Andy, wear a wire?”

I could see that as a sarcastic response to a stupid and seditious idea. Moreover, we know that both Comey and McCabe used their after-meeting notes to spin their webs and I do mean “Spin.”

Love to see them attacking each other and a fracturing of the conspiracy. It bodes well for the truth.
