I have read alot of online forums on theories on why the cap stone from the great pyramid. One of the more interesting is Disclose TV's account of Dr Siemns
"One very interesting story has been associated with the Great Pyramid with the visit of an inventor from Britain, Sir Siemens. It was said that when he reached the top of the pyramid along with those guiding him, he got an electric shock whilst trying to take a drink from a wine bottle. Siemens being a scientist, of course, was then said to have taken a newspaper and moistened it and wrapped it around the wine bottle, thus converting it into an early capacitor, the Leyden jar. When he held the wine bottle over his head it was charged with electricity"
Anyone got any other ideas

The quarts shell of the pyramids where stripped and used in the building of other temples and mosques in Cairo.
Then Napoleon sighted in his cannons in them.

Glass is also a fantastic electrical insulator.

You got a link? I would like to see that. For one thing, I have been to Giza and to the Pyramids and as I recall, there isnt actually any way to get to the top. But I could be wrong.

I stole it! In a previous life I was a world famous treasure pirate. I'd tell you who I was but you'd be able to use one of those family tree website hoohickeys to track me down.

You got climbing gear, and no regrets when the cops show up- you can get to the top. Back then, less cops.

I don't quite remember but wasn't the original cap stone golden? If so no wonder it disappeared and probably a long time before Sir Siemens, but a fun story.

I heard it was built without a capstone intentionally, something to do with an esoteric significance.

My previous self sold it to the Aztec's to build El Dorado. And then Cortez stole it from them. What happened next is the greatest story never told...

Yea, hadn't thought of that. Another job I'd never have.

Problem is that "Sir Siemens" referred to is presumably Sir Carl Wilhem Siemens, see:
en.wikipedia.org...

I have yet to find a biography on Siemens that mentions a trip to Egypt.

But I did find:
egyptianpseudoscience.weebly.com...

In this video, YouTube user charlienecro, a believer of pyramid power, tells the interesting story of a German/British scientist he calls, Sir Siemens. He never actually states Sir Siemens full name, Carl Wilhelm Siemens which hints that charlienecro's level of validity is quite low. The story he tells is about Sir Siemens trip to the top of the Great Pyramid and experiencing his finger being shocked. He cites no sources and in no way, shape, or form tells from where he got his information.

I'm calling BS on this.

I was taught in school that the capstone was gold, and that the outside was encased in either polished granite or quartz. That thing would have shined like crazy in the sun.

I believe that's what I was taught at school as well. It shone like crazy in the sun. Something so mesmerising it took peoples breath away.
I would love to know what happened to it. Hopefully buried somewhere waiting to be found.

No need for climbing gear:

Climbing the GP

The capstone of the other pyramid, Kafrus I think, is found in pieces at it's base
and is a white limestone. Gold leaf may have been applied to the capstones
to really let the pyramids shine.

...let me guess. You shipped it out on the Titanic, guarded by the Loch Ness Monster, a strategically shaved Bigfoot and Lord Lucan, the latter having been sent back in time via your own personal TARDIS?

A) I'd want climbing gear.
B) I'd probably also need a really good lawyer, when I came back down.

A TARDIS?! Good grief- what kind of barbarian are you? He used a Stargate, and a genetically modified clone of Teal'c was in on the job!
